The album features the film’s original music composed by Christian Lundberg (Around the World in 80 Days, Snatch, Earth at Night in Color). Netflix Music has released the theme song from the Netflix original travel documentary series Somebody Feed Phil. The track written and performed by Lake Street Dive who received an Emmy Award nomination in the Original Main Title Theme Music category in 2018. Jerskin Fendrix was named Film Composer of the Year at the 24th World Soundtrack Awards, tonight’s closing event of the 51st Ghent Film Festival, for his scores for Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things (for which he also received an Academy Award nomination earlier this year) and Kinds of Kindness. He was also the winner in the Discovery of the Year category. Natalie Holt was honored as TV Composer of the Year today for her score for the second season of Marvel’s Disney+ series Loki. She has previously been nominated twice in the category and also received a Discovery nomination in 2021. Billie Eislish and Finneas O’Connell won the award in the Original Song category for What Was I Made For? from Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, for which they also received an Academy Award this year. The full details of the album Elliot Goldenthal – Music for Film have been revealed. The album features music by this year’s recipient of the World Soundtrack Awards Lifetime Achievement Award, Elliot Goldenthal, including all-new studio recordings of selected scores by the Academy Award-winning composer performed by the Brussels Philharmonic and conducted by WAS music director Dirk Brossé. As previously reported, the record includes the world premiere release of two complete concert suites, the Grand Gothic Suite with highlights from the composer’s score for Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever and Batman & Robin and Final Fantasia with music from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Further highlights include selections from Goldenthal’s scores for Julie Taymor’s Frida & Titus, David Fincher’s Alien³, Michael Mann’s Heat and Neil Jordan’s Interview with the Vampire. Milan Records has released a new soundtrack album for the Japanese monster movie Godzilla Minus One. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed by Naoki Sato (Dragon Ball Super: Super, Rurouni Kenshin, Pretty Cure, Blood-C, X). The Deluxe Edition soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Rambling Records has released a CD version in Japan (click here to order the CD as an import). The original soundtrack album was released last November. Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced the first-ever vinyl release of the soundtrack for the 1993 action sequel RoboCop 3 directed by Fred Dekker and starring Robert John Burke, Nancy Allen and Rip Torn. The album features the film’s original score composed by Basil Poledouris (Conan the Barbarian, Starship TroopersThe Hunt for Red OctoberFor the Love of the Game) who also scored Paul Verhoeven’s original RoboCop movie and will be available as a “Delta City Yellow” 2-LP pressing, which comes housed in a gatefold jacket featuring brand-new artwork from illustrator Estevan Silveira.
