Dru Masters (Silk, A Touch of Silk, Damilola, The Library Suicides, Our Loved Boy) has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the 2015 BBC drama Capital written by Peter Bowker based on John Lanchester’s novel of the same title, directed by Euros Lyn and starring Toby Jones, Gemma Jones, Adeel Akhtar, Rachael Stirling, Robert Emms, Wunmi Mosaku and Lesley Sharp. This past week, John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, The Jungle Book, Iron Man 2, The Emperor’s New Groove, Hocus Pocus) has been recording his score for the upcoming western epic Horizon: An American Saga. The film is directed by Kevin Costner (Dances with Wolves, Open Range) and stars Costner himself, Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jamie Campbell Bower, Luke Wilson, Jena Malone, Thomas Haden Church, Alejandro Edda, Tatanka Means and Michael Rooker. The movie is the first installment of a planned 4-part western (the second of which has also already started shooting), which chronicles a 15-year span of pre- and post-Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West. Premiering on Thursday, August 31, is the Netflix original series One Piece developed by Matt Owens & Steven Maeda based on the manga of the same name and starring Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu and Taz Skylar. The show’s original music is composed by Sonya Belousova & Giona Ostinelli (The Witcher, The Mist, The Thing About Pam, Sacred Lies). Netflix Music has already released a first score track (Wealth Fame Power) and a first song (My Sails Are Set feat. AURORA) over the last two weeks and will release a full soundtrack album this coming week. The fantasy series will be available to stream on Netflix.
Also premiering on Thursday is the Netflix interactive special Choose Love directed by Stuart McDonald and starring Laura Marano, Avan Jogia, Scott Michael Foster, Jordi Webber, Megan Smart, Benjamin Hoetjes, Nell Fisher and Blair Strang. Gabriel Mann (A Million Little Things, Modern Family, Better Nate Than Never, Rectify, Rectify, Tiny Beautiful Things) has composed the movie’s original score. ‘After Everything’ Soundtrack Album Details

Cinematic Soundscapes will release a soundtrack album for the romantic drama After Everything, the fifth and final installment in the After franchise. The album features the film’s original music composed by George Kallis (Cliffs of Freedom, The Last Warrior, The Black Prince, First Love, See You on Venus) who previously scored the last two movies in the series, After We Fell and After Ever Happy. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. After Everything is written and directed by Castille Landon based on characters from the book series by Anna Todd and stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Josephine Langford, Benjamin Mascolo, Mimi Keene, Louise Lombard and Stephen Moyer. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the racing drama Gran Turismo directed by Neill Blomkamp and starring Archie Madekwe, David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Josha Stradowski, Djimon Hounsou, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Daniel Puig and Thomas Kretschmann. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning & Fallout, His Dark Materials, Black Widow) and Andrew Kawczynski (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Corrupted). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score earlier this month. Also opening wide is the thriller Retribution directed by Nimrod Antal and starring Liam Neeson, Noma Dumezweni, Lilly Aspell, Jack Champion, Matthew Modine and Embeth Davidtz. Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1990 sci-fi comedy Spaced Invaders written and directed by Patrick Read Johnson and starring Douglas Barr, Royal Dano and Ariana Richards. The album features the original music from the Touchstone Pictures production composed and conducted by David Russo (Gotham, Nikita, Pennyworth, Angus, Dark Blue, Gotham Knights, Alone with Her, 5-25-77).
