Varese Sarabande has announcd the details for the soundtrack release of the action comedy Tower Heist. The album features the original score by composer Christophe Beck. The soundtrack will be released on November 1, 2011 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Tower Heist marks Beck’s and director Brett Ratner’s first collaboration. The movie starring Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Casey Affleck, Matthew Broderick, Tea Leoni, Michael Pena, Alan Alda, Gabourey Sidibe, Judd Hirsch and Nina Arianda will be released nationwide on November 4. Four new movies are opening in wide release this weekend:

Jim Sheridan’s horror thriller Dream House starring Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts features an original score by composer John Debney. Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack CD including Debney’s score on October 11. The album is also already available to download on iTunes. Also opening wide is the comedy drama 50/50 directed by Jonathan Levine and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, Anjelica Huston, Anna Kendrick and Bryce Dallas Howard. The score from the movie is composed by Michael Giacchino. No soundtrack album has been announced so far. Ramin Djawadi has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Safe House. The movie stars Ryan Reynolds, Denzel Washington, Vera Farmiga, Liam Cunningham, Brendan Gleeson, Robert Patrick and Sam Shepard. The film centers on a man at a CIA-run safe house who must help a criminal, who’s being kept there, avoid being killed by villains who want the witness dead. ‘The Resident’ Soundtrack Announced

Cutting Edge Group’s Pale Blue label will be releasing the soundtrack for the horror thriller The Resident. The album includes the original score from the film composed by John Ottman. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 16, 2011 and will be available to download on Amazon. Audio clips from all 17 score tracks can be checked out after the jump. The Resident is directed by Antti Jokinen and stars Hilary Swank, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Christopher Lee. The movie about a young doctor who suspects she may not be alone in her new Brooklyn loft and learns that her landlord has formed a frightening obsession with her is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD. Christopher Lennertz has signed on to score the comedy drama As Cool as I Am. The movie starring James Marsden, Claire Danes, Sarah Bolger, Jon Tenney, Peter Fonda, Jeremy Sisto, Alanis Morissette, Thomas Mann, Anika Noni Rose and Mario Batali follows a Montana teen girl who deals with her self-centered parents trying to recapture the youth they feel they missed. The film is directed by Max Mayer who has previously collaborated with Lennertz on the 2009 indie drama Adam starring Hugh Dancy and Rose Byrne. Varese Sarabande has revealed the details of the soundtrack release for the action spoof Johnny English Reborn. The album includes the original score from the comedy by composer Ilan Eshkeri. The orchestral score is performed by the London Metropolitan Orchestra. The soundtrack will be released on October 25, 2011 and is now available to pre-order on Amazon. Johnny English Reborn directed by Oliver Parker and starring Rowan Atkinson, Rosamunde Pike, Dominic West and Gillian Anderson has already opened in several international territories and is set for a release on October 28, 2011 in the US. Nico Muhly is currently scoring the upcoming drama Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. The project reunites the composer with director Stephen Daldry, for whom he previously scored the Academy Award-nominated 2008 drama The Reader starring Ralph Fiennes and Kate Winslet. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close stars Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, John Goodman, Viola Davis, Jeffrey Wright and Max von Sydow. The movie is based on the novel by Jonathan Safran Foer and centers on a 9-year-old boy who finds a key in a vase that belongs to his father – who perished in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks – and searches to find the lock that goes with it. La-La Land Records has released a new 2-CD set of the soundtrack for Steven Spielberg’s 1979 movie 1941. The album includes the remastered and expanded score composed by John Williams. The soundtrack is expanded by more than 70 minutes of previously unreleased music and also includes the content of the original 1979 soundtrack album. La-La Land Records has released a soundtrack album for the NBC superhero drama The Cape. The 2CD-set includes selections of the original score from the show by composer Bear McCreary. More than 150 minutes of music is included on the 2 disc release, which is limited to 2000 copies. Sony Classical will be releasing the official soundtrack album for the critically acclaimed romance The Artist. The album includes the score from the movie by composer Ludovic Bource. The soundtrack will be released in the US on November 21, 2011 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips from all tracks on the album below.
