Paramount Music will release a soundtrack album for the action thriller Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. The album features the film’s original music composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Big Hero 6, X-Men: First Class, Captain Phillips, Wreck-It-Ralph). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 21, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Jack Reacher: Never Go Back is directed by Edward Zwick and stars Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Aldis Hodge, Danika Yarosh, Patrick Heusinger, Holt McCallany and Robert Knepper. The movie follows the title character as tries to prove the innocence of his old investigative unit head and to uncover the truth behind a major government conspiracy involving soldiers who are being killed.

Henry Jackman to Score ‘Jack Reacher: Never Go Back’
Henry Jackman has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. The film is directed by Edward Zwick (Glory, The Last Samurai, Legends of the Fall) and stars Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Aldis Hodge, Madalyn Horcher, Danika Yarosh, Patrick Heusinger, Holt McCallany and Robert Knepper. The movie is based on Lee Child’s book Never Go Back and follows the title character as he returns to the headquarters of his old unit, only to find out he’s now accused of a 16-year-old homicide. Zwick has also written the screenplay with Marshall Herskovitz based on an original script by Richard Wenk (The Equalizer). Cruise is producing the Skydance Media production with Don Granger (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation).

Opening today is the thriller Jack Reacher directed by Christopher McQuarrie and starring Tom Cruise, Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, Werner Herzog, David Oyelowo and Robert Duvall. The film’s music is composed by Joe Kraemer who previously scored the director’s 2000 film The Way of the Gun. La-La Land Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score digitally earlier this week. The release date for the physical version is set for early January. Also opening today is the comedy drama This is 40 written and directed by Judd Apatow and starring Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, John Lithgow, Megan Fox, Iris Apatow, Maude Apatow, Melissa McCarthy, Jason Segel, Robert Smigel, Charlyne Yi and Albert Brooks. The film’s original score is composed by Jon Brion (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). A soundtrack album featuring one score track by the composer, as well as the film’s songs by artists including Norah Jones, Fiona Apple, Graham Parker and Lindsey Buckingham (all produced by Jon Brion), Wilco and Ryan Adams has been released on Capitol Records. La-La Land Records has announced the details of the soundtrack release for Christopher McQuarrie’s thriller Jack Reacher. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joe Kraemer (The Way of the Gun). The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also check out audio clips.
