Marcus Miller is scoring the upcoming romantic comedy drama About Last Night. The film is directed by Steve Pink (Hot Tub Time Machine, Accepted) and stars Kevin Hart, Regina Hall, Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant, Adam Rodriguez, Christopher McDonald and Paula Patton. The movie is a remake of Edward Zwick’s 1986 film of the same title starring Rob Lowe & Demi Moore and featuring music by Miles Goodman. Arrival Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Running Wild: The Life of Dayton O. Hyde. The album features the film’s original music composed by Steve Poltz (Bio-Dome) who is best known as a singer/songwriter and has collaborated with Jewel on a number of songs. The soundtrack will be released on October 4, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Running Wild: The Life of Dayton O. Hyde is produced and directed by Suzanne Mitchell and centers on a modern cowboy and activist who manages a South Dakota horse sanctuary and has rescued 500 mustangs from wild horse roundups over the last 25 years. Director Gareth Evans has announced on Twitter that Joseph Trapanese, Fajar Yuskemal and Aria Prayogi will be composing the score for the upcoming action sequel The Raid 2. Iko Uwais will reprise his role as police officer Rama from 2011’s The Raid: Redemption. The film takes place right after the first film ends and follows Rama as he goes undercover and infiltrates the ranks of a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family and uncover the corruption in his own police force. Evans has also written the screenplay and Ario Sagantoro is producing the PT Merantau Films and XYZ Films production with Nate Bolotin, Nick Spicer, Aram Tertzakian and Todd Brown. ‘The East’ Soundtrack Released

Fox Music has released a soundtrack album for the espionage thriller The East. The album includes the film’s original score composed by Halli Cauthery and featuring themes by Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia, Spy Game). Also included is Rostam Batmanglij’s Doc’s Song. The soundtrack is now available on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. The East is directed by Zal Batmanglij and stars Brit Marling, Alexander Skarsgård, Ellen Page, Julia Ormond and Patricia Clarkson. The film follows a former FBI agent who goes undercover to infiltrate an anarchist collective seeking revenge against major corporations guilty of covering up criminal activity. New Soundtrack Edition for Elmer Bernstein’s ‘True Grit’ Announced

La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1969 western True Grit directed by Henry Hathaway and starring John Wayne, Kim Darby and Glen Campbell. The album features the score from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by Elmer Bernstein (The Magnificent Seven, To Kill a Mockingbird). Also included is the Academy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated main title song performed by Glen Campbell and co-written by Bernstein and Don Black. Bonus tracks include a demo version of the song, as well as three versions of Go Home Girl (one performed by John Hartford and two by Campbell). Christopher Lennertz to Return for ‘Think Like a Man Too’

Christopher Lennertz is set to reunite with director Tim Story on the upcoming romantic comedy sequel Think Like a Man Too. The film stars La La Anthony, Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence J, Jenifer Lewis, Romany Malco, Gary Owen and Gabrielle Union who reprise their roles from the original Think Like a Man film and follows the couples on a trip to Las Vegas for a wedding. They are joined by new cast members Adam Brody, Wendi McLendon-Covey and David Walton. Keith Merryman & David A. Expanded ‘Rising Sun’ Soundtrack Released

Kritzerland has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1993 thriller Rising Sun directed by Philip Kaufman, based on a novel by Michael Crichton who also co-wrote the screenplay and starring Sean Connery, Wesley Snipes and Harvey Keitel. The album features the expanded score from the movie composed and conducted by Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu (Ran, Harakiri, Black Rain), including over 40 minutes of previously unreleased music. The soundtrack also features Duke Ellington’s Single Petal of a Rose and Cole Porter’s Don’t Fence Me In. Heitor Pereira has been tapped to compose the music for the upcoming supernatural drama If I Stay. The film based on the 2009 young-adult novel by Gayle Forman is directed by R.J. Cutler (The September Issue, Nashville) and is set to star Chloe Moretz, Mireille Enos and Jamie Blackley. The movie centers on a teenager who has an out-of-body experience following a car accident which puts her in a coma and kills the rest of her family. Shauna Cross (Whip It, What to Expect When You’re Expecting) is adapting the novel for the screen. Denise DiNovi (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhand) and Alison Greenspan (Monte Carlo, Ramona and Beezus) are producing the MGM and Summit Entertainment co-production for DiNovi Pictures. WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the DC Universe animated movie Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. The album features the film’s original score composed by Christopher Drake who previously scored such titles as Batman: Under the Red Hood and Batman: Gotham Knight. The soundtrack will be released on October 8, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns directed by Jay Oliva is a two-part film based on Frank Miller’s comic book of the same title.
