The full soundtrack details for Ridley Scott’s biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Alberto Iglesias (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Constant Gardener, The Kite Runner). The soundtrack will be released on December 2, 2014 by Sony Classical and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Exodus: Gods and Kings stars Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Aaron Paul, Ben Mendelsohn, John Turturro, Sigourney Weaver and Ben Kingsley. The movie tells the story of the defiant leader Moses as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses, setting 600,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues. Iglesias was an odd choice, but he is better than Marc Streintenfeld. I am hoping for something really epic.
Can’t wait to hear it, but I’m a little bit afraid that it might sound like Robin Hood. Judging by the amount of tracks, their lengths will be really short, which doesn’t usually make for a nice listening experience… Wait and see!
I read three of the tracks are from Harry Gregson-Williams music (he did about 30 minutes). No word on anything Jusid contributed being on the CD.
