Mark Isham has been tapped to score the upcoming ABC series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. The show is a spin-off of the network’s hit drama Once Upon a Time, which Isham has been scoring for the past two years and recently aired its second season finale. Wonderland is written and executive produced by the original show creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (Lost) and follows the adventures of a mature Alice as she goes back down the rabbit hole to battle Red Queens and psychologists to find her true love. The show stars Sophie Lowe as Alice, Michael Socha as Knave of Hearts, Peter Gadiot as Cyrus, Emma Rigby as Queen of Hearts and John Lithgow as the voice of the White Rabbit. Glassnote Records will release the soundtrack album for the heist thriller Now You See Me. The soundtrack features the film’s original score composed by Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Fast Five, The Expendables). Also included is Two Door Cinema Club’s Sun, Phoenix’s Entertainment and a remix of Tyler’s score by Robert DeLong. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 28, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Now You See Me is directed by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans) and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Isla Fisher, Melanie Laurent, Woody Harrelson, Michael Kelly, Dave Franco and Common. Philip Glass’ Score for Godfrey Reggio’s ‘Visitors’ to Be Performed at TIFF

Philip Glass has reunited with director Godfrey Reggio on his upcoming feature Visitors. The project marks the fourth film that the director and composer have collaborated on following the Qatsi Trilogy formed by the films Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi, and Naqoyqatsi. It was announced today the movie will celebrate its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival where members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra will perform Glass’s score live. Visitors is presented in Black and White digital 4K projection and is said to “reveal humanity’s trancelike relationship with technology, which, when commandeered by extreme emotional states, produces massive effects far beyond the human species”. ‘Twenty Feet from Stardom’ Soundtrack Announced

Columbia Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the documentary Twenty Feet from Stardom. The album features a new recording of the classic song Lean On Me featuring Darleen Love, as well as the original song Desperation performed by The Voice finalist Judith Hill. Also included is the Rolling Stones song Gimme Shelter performed by Merry Clayton, Young Americans performed by David Bowie and Walk On the Wild Side performed by Lou Reed. The soundtrack will be released on June 18, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Twenty Feet from Stardom is directed by Morgan Neville and tells the untold true story of the backup singers behind some of the greatest musical legends of the 21st century through archival footage and interviews with such artists as Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Mick Jagger and Sting and more. Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack for the animated feature sequel Despicable Me 2. The album features the film’s original songs and themes by Pharrell Williams and the movie’s original score composed by Heitor Pereira (The Smurfs). Among Williams’ news songs is the track Scream, which also features Cee Lo Green. The soundtrack will be released on June 18, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Back Lot Music will release the soundtrack album for Universal Pictures’ speculative thriller The Purge. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nathan Whitehead who has previously contributed music and arrangements to such projects as Desperate Housewives, Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Gears of War: Judgment. The soundtrack will be released on June 4, 2013. Audio clips will be added to this article within the next few weeks. The Purge (originally entitled Vigilandia) is directed by James DeMonaco (writer of Assault on Precinct 13 and The Negotiator) and stars Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey. Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Insidious) is producing the project through his Blumhouse production company and Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Amityville Horror) are producing for Platinum Dunes, alongside Sébastien Kurt Lemercier (Assault on Precinct 13). ‘Elsa & Fred’ to Feature Music by Luis Bacalov

Luis Bacalov is the composer of the upcoming romantic comedy Elsa & Fred. The film is directed by Michael Radford (1984, The Merchant of Venice) and stars Christopher Plummer, Shirley MacLaine, Marcia Gay Harden, Scott Bakula, Chris Noth, Jared Gilman, James Brolin, George Segal, Wendell Pierce, Reg Rogers and Erika Alexander. The movie is an English-language remake of the Spanish-Argentine film of the same title directed by by Marcos Carnevale and follows a lively retiree in New Orleans who falls in love with a widower who moves into her apartment building. Radford co-wrote the screenplay with Anna Pavignano based on the 2005 film and the director is also producing the project with Ed Saxon (The Silence of the Lambs, Adaptation), Ricardo Kleinbaum, Matthias Ehrenberg (Sex, Shame and Tears) and Argentinean producers Nicolas Veinberg and Jose Levy. Varese Sarabande will release a score album for indie comedy drama Stuck in Love. The album features the film’s original score composed, arranged, performed and produced by Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott (from Bright Eyes). WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for A&E’s crime drama series Longmire. The album features selections from the score of the show’s first season composed by David Shephard. Longmire created by John Coveny and Hunt Baldwin is based on Craig Johnson’s Walt Longmire series of mystery novels and stars Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Bailey Chase, Adam Bartley, Cassidy Freeman and Lou Diamond Phillips. French singer/songwriter Yodelice has composed the music for the crime thriller Blood Ties. The film is directed by Guillaume Canet and stars Clive Owen, Billy Crudup, Marion Cotillard, Mila Kunis, Zoe Saldana, Matthias Schoenaerts, James Caan, Noah Emmerich, Lili Taylor, Domenick Lombardozzi, John Ventimiglia and Griffin Dunne. The movie marks the French director’s English language debut and follows two brothers, on either side of the law, who face off over organized crime in Brooklyn during the 1970s. Canet co-wrote the screenplay with James Gray (We Own the Night, Two Lovers) and is also producing the project with Alain Attal & Hugo Selignac (Tell No One), Christopher Woodrow (The Immigrant) and John Lesher (End of Watch).
