Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1980 sci-fi cult classic Battle Beyond the Stars directed by Jimmy T. Murakami and starring Richard Thomas, Robert Vaughn, John Saxon, George Peppard, Sybil Danning and Darlanne Fluegel. The album features the remastered and expanded original score from the Roger Corman production composed by Academy Award winner James Horner (Titanic, Braveheart, Avatar, Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Field of Dreams, Aliens, The Amazing Spider-Man), including previously unreleased music. The 2-CD set, which features the complete score on the first disc and a remastered version of the 1980 original soundtrack album on the second disc, is now available to order on Amazon and the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. Vicmachine Records has released a soundtrack album for the indie sci-fi comedy Adventures of the Naked Umbrella. The album features the film’s original songs and score composed by Jeff Victor. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Adventures of the Naked Umbrella is written and directed by Gerald Brunskill and stars Jeremy Davies, Taryn Manning, Tom Arnold, Richard Riehle, Darnell Rhea and Cindy Vela. Netflix Music has released the original song Badi Baddy from the seventh season of the Netflix original animated series Big Mouth. The film is directed by Mark Dindal and features the voices of Chris Pratt, Samuel L. The live-action animated hybrid special is based on the children’s book of the same name by Margery Williams and stars Phoenix Laroche and features the voice talent fo Alex Lawther (in the title role), Helena Bonham Carter, Nicola Coughlan, Bethany Antonia, Paterson Joseph, Lois Chimimba, Clive Rowe, Tilly Vosburgh, Nathaniel Parker, Samantha Colley and Leonard Buckley. Making its linear debut tonight is the Showtime original series The Curse created by Benny Safdie & Nathan Fielder and starring Emma Stone, Fielder and Safdie. The show’s original music is composed John Medeski and executive produced by Daniel Lopatin (Uncut GemsGood Time). Milan Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the score this coming Friday, November 17. The comedy premiered this past Friday on Paramount+ with Showtime and will air every Sunday night on Showtime.

Also premiering today is the MGM+ original series Beacon 23 created by Zak Penn based on Hugh Howey’s best-selling book and starring Lean Headey and Stephan James. William Marriott has composed the show’s original score. Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Pacific Rim, WestworldIron Man, House of the Dragon, Eternals) has contributed the theme and also serves as the project’s music producer. Ala Bianca Records has released a soundtrack album for the Italian/Swiss period drama Lubo. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Biscarini (Hidden Away, The Man Who Will Come, The Lamb, There Will Come a Day, The Vegetarian). Lubo is co-written and directed by Giorgio Diritti and stars Franz Rogowski, Christophe Sermet, Noemi Besedes, Valentina Bellè, Cecilia Steiner and Joel Basman. The movie follows a traveling busker who is called up for service in the Swiss army to defend against a potential German attack, when he – upon learning his wife has died and his three small children have been taken – flees his unit, adopts a new identity, and begins a desperate search to reunite his family.
