VHM has released a soundtrack album for the Australian giant screen documentary Elephants: Giants of the Desert. The album features the film’s original music composed by Michael Lira (Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead, Interceptor, The Hunter, Woody Woodpecker Goes to Camp, Black Water: Abyss, Nekrotronic, Growing Up Smith) and performed by the Sydney Scoring Orchestra conducted by Christopher Gordon (Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Daybreakers). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s title and “finale” tracks after the jump. Elephants: Giants of the Desert is directed by Paul Phelan, narrated by Naomi Watts and tells the story of a resilient elephant family surviving against the odds in one of the harshest environments on Earth: Africa’s Namib Desert. The movie has been released in numerous giant screen theaters in science centers and other museum institutions over the last couple of months.
