Gabriel Yared Scoring ‘Chocolat’

chocolatGabriel Yared is scoring the upcoming French biographical period drama Chocolat. The film is directed by actor Roschdy Zem and stars Omar Sy, James Thierree and Clothilde Hesme. The movie tells the life story of Padilla, aka Chocolat, who became the first black artist to appear on a French stage in the 19th century and centers around his lifelong friendship with a white artist nicknamed Footit. The show is based on the bestselling young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare and follows an 18-year-old girl who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters – human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. Soundtrack Details for Syfy’s ‘Helix’ Announced

helixLa-La Land Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the Syfy original series Helix. The album features selections from the original score from the show’s two seasons composed by Reinhold Heil (One Hour Photo, Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, Legends, The International). The label will release the album as a 2 CD-set, which is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Also visit La-La Land’s website to check out audio clips. Madison Gate Records will release the album digitally. Helix is created by Cameron Porsandeh and stars Billy Campbell, Hiroyuki Sanada, Kyra Zagorsky, Jordan Hayes, Catherine Lemieux, Neil Napier and Mark Ghanime.
