Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for Universal Pictures’ R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls. The album features the film’s original score composed by Grammy Award nominee Ryan Shore (Prime, Harvard Man, The Shrine, Penn Zero: Part Time Hero), as well as the original title pop song Stay True written by the composer and performed by Katherine McNamara. The World Soundtrack Academy has announced the five nominees for this year’s Discovery of the Year Award, via which the organization rewards up-and-coming talent from the previous year. The winner will be announced at the 15th World Soundtrack Awards & Concert on October 24, 2015 in Ghent, Belgium and will get the opportunity to perform at the 16th World Soundtrack Awards next year. ‘Lamb’ Soundtrack Announced

Tricatel will release a soundtrack album for the Ethiopian drama Lamb. The album features the film’s original music composed by Chassol (Dark Touch). The soundtrack will be released overseas on August 25, 2015. Lamb is written and directed by Yared Zeleke and stars Rediat Amare, Kidist Siyum, Welela Assefa, Surafel Teka, Rahel Teshome and Indris Mohamed. The movie follows a 9-year-old Ethiopian boy who risks all to save his only friend — his mother’s pet lamb – after her death. Jeff Danna has joined his brother Mychael Danna to co-score Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming feature The Good Dinosaur. The film is directed by Peter Sohn and features the voices of Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Frances McDormand, Jeffrey Wright, Sam Elliott, Anna Paquin, Marcus Scribner, A.J. Buckley and Steve Zahn. The movie is set in a world where dinosaurs have never become extinct and follows a young dinosaur who loses himself after falling into a river, sweeping him far away from his home. The show is being developed by Kyle Jarrow (A Very Merry Unauthorized Children’s Scientology Pageant) who is writing the screenplay and R.J. Nathan Larson is set to compose the score for the upcoming HBO series Vinyl.
