Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Ouija: Origin of Evil. The album features the film’s original music composed by The Newton Brothers (Oculus, Life of Crime, Hush, Detachment, The Bye Bye Man). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 21, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Ouija: Original of Evil is directed by Mike Flanagan and stars Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Doug Jones, Parker Mack, Sam Anderson, Kate Siegel, Annalise Basso and Lulu Wilson. The Blumhouse production is a prequel to 2014’s hit film and is set in 1965 Los Angeles as a widowed mother and her two daughters add a new stunt to bolster their at-home séance scam business. Corey Allen Jackson has signed on to score the upcoming comedy The Brits Are Coming. The film is directed by James Oakley (The Devil You Know) and stars Uma Thurman, Stephen Fry, Tim Roth, Parker Posey, Maggie Q, Alice Eve, Crispin Glover and Sofia Vergara. The movie follows a British con-artist couple who flee to Los Angeles to avoid paying a large debt to a gangster and try to win back the money via a jewel theft operation. Oakley also co-wrote the screenplay with Alex Michaelides. Cassian Elwes (Lee Daniels’ The Butler, Elvis & Nixon), JC Chandor (A Most Violent Year, All Is Lost), Robert Ogden Barnum (Margin Call, Miles Ahead) and Dave Hansen (Lovesong) are producing the project. Italians Do It Better has released a soundtrack album for the Belgian drama Home. The album features the film’s original music composed by Johnny Jewel (Bronson, Lost River, Those Who Kill), as well as tracks by his bands Chromatics and Symmetry. The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio samples. Home is directed by Fien Troch (Kid) and stars Sebastian Van Dun, Mistral Guidotti, Loïc Batog, Lena Suijkerbuijk, Karlijn Sileghem, Els Deceukelier, Robby Cleiren, Yavuz Saçikara and Els Dottermans. Joseph Trapanese Tapped as New Composer for ABC’s ‘Quantico’

Joseph Trapanese has taken over scoring duties on the ABC drama Quantico. He is scoring the show starting with the third episode of the second season, which premieres tonight. Joel J. Richard (John Wick) has previously scored the first season and first two episodes of the current season. Quantico is created by Joshua Safran and stars Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Russell Tovey, Pearl Thusi and Blair Underwood. The series executive produced by Safran, Mark Gordon, Robert Sertner, Jorge Zamacona and Nicholas Pepper follows a group of young FBI recruits, all with specific reasons for joining, who battle their way through training at the Quantico base in Virginia. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the thriller The Accountant directed by Gary O’Connor and starring Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Jean Smart, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Jeffrey Tambor and John Lithgow. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, Once Upon a Time, 42, American Crime). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a song by Sean Rowe. Click here for the full album details. Also opening nationwide is the concert movie Kevin Hart: What Now? directed by Leslie Small.
