Brooke Blair and Will Blair have been tapped to score the upcoming indie comedy I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore. The film is written and directed by their brother Macon Blair (The Monkey’s Paw) and stars Melanie Lynskey, Elijah Wood, David Yow, Jane Levy and Devon Graye. The movie follows a a depressed woman who – after being burglarized – finds a new sense of purpose by tracking down the thieves, alongside her obnoxious neighbor. Universal Music will release a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Dalida. The album features the songs from the movie by the drama’s subject, Dalida. Also included is the movie’s original score composed by Jean-Claude Petit (Jean de Florette, Cyrano de Bergerac, The Horseman on the Roof). The film is written and directed by Michael Almereyda (Nadja, Experimenter, Hamlet) and stars Jon Hamm, Geena Davis, Lois Smith and Tim Robbins. The movie based on Jordan Harrison’s play is set in the near future in a time of artificial intelligence and follows a 86-year-old woman who has a handsome new companion who looks like her deceased husband and is programmed to feed the story of her life back to her. Varese Sarabande has announced a deluxe soundtrack edition for this year’s sci-fi adventure Star Trek Beyond. The 2-CD set is limited to 5000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website. The label has also released the regular soundtrack for the movie earlier this year. Premiering tonight in the U.S. is the new season of the BBC series The Hollow Crown, which adapts Shakespeare’s history plays set during the time of the Wars of the Roses: Henry VI Part 1, Henry VI Part II and Richard III. Dan Jones (Shadow of the Vampire, Lady Macbeth, Max) has composed the season’s original music. He follows composers Stephen Warbeck, Adam Cork and Adrian Johnston who scored the previous Hollow Crown installments. The 3-parter starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Sturridge, Sophie Okonedo, Keeley Hawes, Hugh Bonneville, Judi Dench & Michael Gambon will premiere in the U.S. on PBS as part of the Great Performances series. Premiering on Wednesday, December 14, is the new Fox drama Star created by Lee Daniels & Tom Donaghy and starring Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, Jude Demorest, Brittany O’Grady and Ryan Destiny. The show’s original score is composed by James S. Levine (Glee, Nip/Tuck, Damages, American Horror Story, Bloodline).
