The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia, The Girl with All the Gifts, Humans). Academy Awards producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd today announced that Harold Wheeler was selected as music director for this year’s 89th Oscars. He returns for his fourth Oscar telecast, his second as music director following last year’s ceremony. Wheeler is best known as an orchestrator, composer, conductor, arranger and record producer and has received numerous Emmy and Tony Award nominations. Soundtrack Details for FX’s ‘Legion’

Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the FX original series Legion. The album features the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Jeff Russo (Fargo, The Night Of, Power). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 24 and physically on March 24. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. A vinyl release is also in the works. Legion is created by Noah Hawley (Fargo) based on the Marvel Comics and stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Aubrey Plaza, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton and Bill Irwin. Caldera Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 2008 drama Adam Resurrected. The album features the film’s original music composed and orchestrated by Academy Award winner Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, City of Angels, The Lives of Others) who recorded his score at Abbey Road Studios in London. Girlfriend’s Day follows an unemployed greeting card writer must who gets caught up in a conspiracy and must create the perfect card for a new holiday to save his skin. The comedy will be available to stream on Netflix on Tuesday.
Premiering in the U.S. on Saturday, February 18, is the BBC Earth documentary series Planet Earth narrated by David Attenborough, executive produced by Michael Gunton and produced by Tom Hugh-Jones. Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Inception) has composed the show’s main theme. Jacob Shea (Through the Wormhole) and Jasha Klebe (Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom) have written the score for Bleeding Fingers Music.
