Columbia Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Dear White People. The album features selections from the show’s original score composed by Kris Bowers (Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me, Little Boxes), as well as songs from the series by artists including Tkay Maidza feat. Killer Mike, Future, Innanet James, The Softones, Shamir, Thelma Houston, Anna Wise & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 28 and will be available to download on Amazon. Dear White People is created by Justin Simien based on his 2014 feature and stars Logan Browning, Brandon P. Bell, Antoinette Robertson, DeRon Horton, John Patrick Amedori and Marque Richardson. A soundtrack album will be released for the supernatural thriller Voice from the Stone. The album features the film’s original music composed by Michael Wandmacher (My Bloody Valentine 3D, Underworld: Blood Wars, Piranha 3D, Drive Angry, The Goldbergs). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Hulu original series The Handmaid’s Tale. The album features the film’s original music composed by Adam Taylor (Before I Fall, Meadowland). Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller Sleight. The album features the film’s original score composed by Charles Scott IV, as well the songs from the movie by Thugli, Julien Jabre feat. Kid Ikarus, Amir Says Nothing and Kid Ikarus. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 28 and will be available to download on Amazon. Sleight is co-written and directed by J.D. Dillard and stars Jacob Latimore, Seychelle Gabriel, Dulé Hill, Storm Reid, Sasheer Zamata and Cameron Esposito. The movie follows a young street magician who is left to care for his little sister after their parents’ passing and turns to illegal activities to keep a roof over their heads. Cristal Records will release a soundtrack album for the French biographical drama Rodin. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Philippe Sarde (Tess, The Tenant, Quest for Fire). The soundtrack will be released overseas on May 19 by Cristal Records. Rodin is written and directed by Jacques Doillon and stars Vincent Lindon in the title role, alongside Izia Higelin and Séverine Caneele. The movie tells the story of the revolutionary 19th-century French sculptor, Auguste Rodin, and his relationship with his life-long partner, Rose Beuret, and tumultuous affair with Camille Claudel, his most apt pupil and muse. Christophe Beck to Return for Disney’s ‘Frozen 2’

Christophe Beck confirmed on Twitter that he is set to score Disney Animation’s upcoming sequel Frozen 2. The film is directed by Jennifer Lee & Chris Buck who also helmed the 2013 original hit movie and Kristen Bell and Josh God will return as the voices of Anna and Olaf respectively. It is also expected that Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Bobby Lopez will be writing new songs for the sequel, but no official announcement has been made yet. Frozen producer Peter Del Vecho (The Princess and the Frog, Winnie the Pooh) is also returning. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix original movie War Machine. The film is directed by David Michod (Animal Kingdom, The Rover) and stars Brad Pitt, Topher Grace, Emory Cohen, Tilda Swinton, Anthony Michael Hall, Will Poulter, Jonathan Ing and Ben Kingsley. The satire is based on the book The Operators by Michael Hastings and revolves around a four-star U.S. military general who is sent to Afghanistan to bring the war to an end, but finds he himself is the one under attack. The show is created by Josh Schwartz (The O.C., Chuck, Gossip Girl), Stephanie Savage (Endless Love, Heart of Dixie) & Sallie Patrick and stars Nathalie Kelley, Elizabeth Gillies, Alan Dale, Sam Adegoke, Rob Riley and Grant Show. The series is based on the classic 80s series of the same title and follows two of America’s wealthiest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, as they feud for control over their fortune and their children.
