Lakeshore Records has released the first soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Master of None. The album features the songs from the show’s second season by artists including Mina, Ryan Paris, Bobby Charles, Sylvester, Pino D’Angiò, Will Powers, Soft Cell, Bobby Charles & more. The soundtrack is now available to download here. A CD version is set to come out next month and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. Master of None is created by Aziz Anzari & Alan Yang and stars Anzari himself, alongside H. Jon Benjamin, Eric Wareheim, Lena Waithe, Noel Wells and Kelvin Yu. Siddhartha Khosla has been hired to score the upcoming Hulu original series Runaways. The show is created by Josh Schwartz (The O.C., Chuck) & Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl, The Carrie Diaries) and stars Gregg Sulkin, Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer and Allegra Acosta. The drama is based on the Marvel Comics property created by Brian K. Vaughan & Adrian Alphona and revolves around a group of teenagers who discover that their parents are in an evil crime organization and team up to run away from their homes in order to atone for their parents’ actions and to discover the secrets of their origins. The Wizard of Lies is directed by Barry Levinson (Rain Man, Donnie Brasco) and stars Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer as Bernie and Ruth Madoff, as well as Hank Azaria, Alessandro Nivola, Lily Rabe and Kristen Connolly.The movie revolves around Madoff’s massive Ponzi scheme, how it was perpetrated on the public and the trail of destruction it left in its wake, both for the victims and Madoff’s family. Amazon Content Services has released a soundtrack album for the Amazon original series I Love Dick. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Mandy Hoffman (Terri, The Lovers). Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Generation Iron 2. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jeff Rona (White Squall, Exit Wounds, Powers, Chicago Hope, Traffic) who also scored the original Generation Iron movie. Last night, Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) held its annual Film & TV & Visual Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. Alan Silvestri was honored with the organization’s Icon Award for his impactful contribution in the realm of film and television music. The composer whose credits include such hit movies as Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, The Avengers, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Mummy Returns and Captain America: The First Avenger was presented the award by the evening’s host, BMI Vice President, Film/TV Relations, Doreen Ringer-Ross and BMI President & CEO Mike O’Neill.
