Composer Nate Heller is reuniting with Marielle Heller on the director’s upcoming, currently untitled next movie, which tells the story of the real-life friendship that blossomed between Fred Rogers and cynical journalist Tom Junod. Tom Hanks is portraying Rogers and Matthew Rhys plays Junod. They are joined by Chris Cooper who stars as Junod’s father. Micah Fitzerman-Blue & Noah Harpster (Transparent, The Motel Life) wrote the screenplay. Marc Turtletaub & Peter Saraf (Little Miss Sunshine, Loving) are producing the project for Big Beach, alongside Youree Henley (The Beguiled, The Bling Ring).

‘Capernaum’ Soundtrack to Be Released
Decca Records will release a soundtrack album for the Lebanese drama Capernaum. The album features the film’s original music composed by Khaled Mouzanar (Where Do We Go Now?, Caramel). The soundtrack will be released on October 12, 2018 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Capernaum is written and directed by Nadine Labaki and stars Zain Al Rafeea, Yordanos Shiferaw, Boluwatife Treasure Bankole, Kawthar Al Haddad, Fadi Kamel Youssef and Cedra Izam. The movie, which has been selected as Lebanese’s entry for the next Academy Awards, revolves around a 12-year-old boy in a fictitious Middle Eastern village who sues his parents for bringing him into a world of such suffering.
Ian Hultquist Scoring Karen Maine’s ‘Yes, God, Yes’
Ian Hultquist (Assassination Nation, A-X-L, Animals, My Blind Brother, The Gospel According to André) is scoring the upcoming comedy drama Yes, God, Yes. The film is written and directed by Karen Maine (Obvious Child) and stars Natalia Dyer, Timothy Simons, Alisha Boe, Francesca Reale, Wolfgang Novogratz and Donna Lynne Champlin. The movie is based on Maine’s 2017 short of the same title and tells the story of 16-year-old girl who discovers masturbating after an innocent AOL chat turns unexpectedly racy, compelling her to sign up for a secretive religious retreat which she hopes will put her on the path to redemption.
Milan Records to Release ‘Widows’ Soundtrack
Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for Steve McQueen’s heist thriller Widows. Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, Inception, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Dunkirk, Pirates of the Caribbean) who previously composed the music for the director’s 12 Years a Slave has composed the film’s original score. Also expected to be included are the songs from the film. As previously reported, Sade has contributed the original song The Big Unknown to the movie. The soundtrack is set to be be released physically on November 23, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow to Score Amazon’s ‘Hanna’ TV Series
Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury (Ex Machina, Annihilation, Free Fire) have been tapped to score the upcoming Amazon original series Hanna. The show is developed by David Farr (The Night Manager, Troy: Fall of a City) and stars Mireille Enos, Joel Kinnaman and Esme Creed-Miles. The drama is based on Joe Wright’s 2011 feature, which was co-written by Farr and scored by The Chemical Brothers, and follows the journey of a young girl as she evades the relentless pursuit of an off-book CIA agent and tries to unearth the truth behind who she is.

Will Blair and Brooke Blair are the composers of the upcoming crime thriller Three Seconds. The film is directed by Andrea Di Stefano (Escobar: Paradise Lost) and stars Joel Kinnaman, Rosamund Pike, Clive Owen, Common and Ana de Armas. The movie is based on the best-selling Swedish novel by Anders Roslund & Börge Hellström and follows a reformed ex-convict and former special ops soldier who gets himself incarcerated again in order to infiltrate the mob at a maximum security prison. Matt Cook (Patriots Day, Triple 9) wrote the screenplay with revisions by Rowan Joffé (The American), Alex Garland (Ex Machina) and Di Stefano.
‘306 Hollywood’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary 306 Hollywood. The album features the film’s original music composed by Troy Herion (The Dog). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, October 5, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. 306 Hollywood is directed by Elan & Jonathan Bogarín and follows the filmmakers as they undertake an archaeological excavation of their late grandmother’s house. The documentary premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and was released in New York this past weekend.
