Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the indie thriller Bushwick. The album features the film’s original music composed by hip hop artist Aesop Rock. The soundtrack will be released on August 25, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Bushwick is directed by Cary Murnion & Jonathan Milott and stars Brittany Snow, Dave Bautista, Angelic Zambrana, Jeremie Harris, Myra Lucretia Taylor, Alex Breaux and Arturo Castro. The movie follows a woman who discovers that her Brooklyn neighborhood is under attack by black-clad soldiers and teams up with a war veteran. Dustin O’Halloran and Hauschka have signed on to score the upcoming historical drama The Current War. The film is directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, Katherine Waterston, Nicholas Hoult, Matthew Macfayden and Tom Holland. The movie takes place in the late 1880s and revolves around power titans Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse’s battle over the supply of electricity. Michael Mitnick (The Giver) wrote the screenplay. Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Night Watch) is producing the project with Basil Iwanyk (Sicario, The Town, John Wick). Read the rest of this entry »

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for Matthew Heineman’s documentary City of Ghosts. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jackson Greenberg and H. Scott Salinas (Birth of the Dragon, The Ivory Game) who previously co-scored Heineman’s Cartel Land. The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 21. City of Ghosts follows the journey of “Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently” – a handful of anonymous activists who banded together after their homeland was taken over by ISIS in 2014. La-La Land Records has announced several new albums, including a new soundtrack release for the 1992 thriller Unlawful Entry directed by Jonathan Kaplan and starring Kurt Russell, Ray Liotta and Madeleine Stowe. The album features the remastered and expanded score from the 20th Century Fox production composed by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Braveheart, Apollo 13).
