Tuneworks will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi comedy Brave New Jersey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dennis Lambert, Kelly Winrich & Matthew Logan Vasquez. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 4 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Brave New Jersey is directed by Jody Lambert and stars Tony Hale, Heather Burns, Anna Camp, Sam Jaeger, Raymond J. Barry, Dan Bakkedahl, Mel Rodriguez, Grace Kaufman, Matt Oberg and Erika Alexander. The movie takes place in a small town on the night of Orson Welles’s legendary 1938 “War of the Worlds” radio hoax that is fooled into believing aliens are invading America. The movie tells the story of quadriplegic cartoonist John Callahan who became paralyzed following a car accident at the age of 21 and turned to art as a form of therapy, drawing by clutching a pen between his two hands. The album features the film’s original music composed by Grammy Award nominee Ryan Shore (Prime, Harvard Man, Julie’s Greenroom, Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, The Shrine). Chris Bacon has been tapped to score the upcoming animated feature Sherlock Gnomes. The film directed by John Stevenson (Kung Fu Panda) is the sequel to 2011’s Gnomeo & Juliet, which the composer co-scored with James Newton Howard. The movie’s voice cast includes Johnny Depp who lends his voice to the title character, as well as James McAvoy and Emily Blunt who reprise their characters from the original movie. Bruno Coulais has recently recorded his score for the upcoming French psychological thriller Eva. The film is directed by Benoit Jacquot and stars Isabelle Huppert and Gaspard Ulliel. The movie is based on James Hadley Chase’s novel of the same name and centers on a playwright who encounters a mysterious woman when he takes shelter in a chalet during a violent snowstorm. ‘Blade Runner 2049’ to Feature Music by Hans Zimmer

Hans Zimmer is currently scoring Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049. While we first heard of the composer’s involvement in the project back in May, Villeneuve clarified in a recent interview with Studio Cine Live that the composer is collaborating with Benjamin Wallfisch on the score and the theme written for the movie by the film’s original composer Johann Johannsson who is still involved in the project will be used in the score. The sci-fi thriller starring Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto takes place thirty years after the events of the first film and follows a new blade runner who unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the animated feature The Emoji Movie directed by Tony Leondis and featuring the voices of T.J. Miller, Anna Faris, James Corden, Patrick Stewart, Maya Rudolph, Sofia Vergara and Christina Aguilera. The film’s original music is composed by Patrick Doyle (Brave, Cinderella, Thor, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Good Vibrations by Ricky Reed. Check out our previous article for the full album details.
Also opening wide is the action thriller Atomic Blonde directed by David Leitch and starring Charlize Theron, James McAvoy, John Goodman, Til Schweiger, Eddie Marsan, Sofia Boutella and Toby Jones. Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, 300, John Wick) has composed the film’s original music. Federico Jusid has been hired to score the upcoming crime drama Escobar. The film is directed by Fernando León de Aranoa (Mondays in the Sun, A Perfect Day) and stars Javier Bardem in the title role, alongside Penelope Cruz and Peter Sarsgaard. The movie tells the true story of the notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar and focuses on an unlikely love affair with his polar opposite, a glamorous television host named Virginia Vallejo. León de Aranoa also wrote the screenplay based on Vallejo’s book Loving Pablo, Hating Escobar.
