Annette Focks is reteaming with director Bille August on the upcoming biographical drama 55 Steps. The film starring Helena Bonham Carter, Hilary Swank and Jeffrey Tambor tells the true story of a mentally ill woman fighting the powerful psychiatric establishment for greater self-control, and the lawyer who becomes her champion and friend. John Debney has joined the music team of Fox’s upcoming comedy drama The Orville and will score multiple episodes of the show created by Seth MacFarlane (TedFamily Guy) who also stars in the series alongside Adrianne Palicki, Mark Jackson, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, J Lee, Halston Sage and Penny Johnson. As previously reportedBruce Broughton has already scored the pilot episode and composed the show’s theme (click here to listen to the track) and Joel McNeely (A Million Ways to Die in the West) is also scoring several episodes. The Orville is set 300 years in the future and tells the story of the Orville, a not-so-top-of-the-line exploratory ship in Earth’s interstellar fleet. La-La Land Records has announced the details of its latest soundtrack releases, including a new soundtrack for Universal Pictures’ 1995 action adventure Waterworld directed by Kevin Reynolds and starring Kevin Costner, Dennis Hopper and Jeanne Tripplehorn. The album features the expanded and remastered score from the movie composed by James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, he Sixth Sense, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, King Kong), including the previously unreleased music and the movie’s original composer Mark Isham’s Music Box Theme . Daniel Pemberton is composing the music for Aaron Sorkin’s directorial debut Molly’s Game. The film is written and directed by Sorkin and stars Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba, Kevin Costner, Michael Cera, Brian d’Arcy James, Chris O’Dowd, Bill Camp, Graham Greene, Claire Rankin, Joe Keery and Jeremy Strong. The movie is based on Molly Bloom’s memoir and tells the story of the Olympic-class skier who, following an injury, ran the world’s most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents wielding automatic weapons. Universal Music will release a soundtrack album for the NBC hit drama This Is Us. The album features a selection of songs from the series by Paul Simon, Sufjan Stevens, Stevie Wonder, Wilco, Cat Stevens, Nick Drake, Ringo Starr & more, as well as Mandy Moore’s cover of Little Feat’s Willin‘. Also included is the original song We Can Always Come Back To This performed by Brian Tyree Henry and written by the show’s composer Siddhartha Khosla & singer/songwriter Chris Pierce, a suite from Khosla’s original score from the show, as well as two tracks from the composer’s band Goldspot. The soundtrack will be released on September 15, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon (CD version) and here (physical version). Paul Mills is reteaming with directors Jon & Andrew Erwin to score the upcoming faith-based drama I Can Only Imagine. The film starring Dennis Quaid, Cloris Leachman, Priscilla Shirer, Madeline Carroll and J. Michael Finley tells the true story of Bart Millard, the lead singer of the Christian band MercyMe, and how he wrote what is now the most-played radio single in Christian music history. Kevin Downes, Cindy Bond and Daryl Lefever are producing the project. Bear McCreary is currently scoring the upcoming supernatural romantic thriller Break My Heart 1000 Times. The film is directed by Scott Speer (Step Up Revolution, Midnight Sun) and stars Bella Thorne, Dermot Mulroney and Richard Harmon. The movie based on the novel by Daniel Waters is set after a cataclysmic event that has allowed ghost-like beings named Remnants to co-exist with the living and revolves around a Remnant who threatens the life of a young woman, propelling her on an adventure. ‘Inconceivable’ Soundtrack Relased

Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Inconceivable. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kevin Kiner (CSI: Miami, Star Wars: Rebels, Hell on Wheels, Jane the Virgin, Star Wars: The Clone Wars). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Inconceivable is directed by Jonathan Baker and stars Nicolas Cage, Gina Gershon, Faye Dunaway, Nicky Whelan and Natalie Eva Marie. The movie centers on a mother who looks to escape her abusive past by moving to a new town where she befriends another mother, who grows suspicious of her. Premiering tonight is the Epix original series Get Shorty created by Davey Holmes and starring Chris O’Dowd, Ray Romano, Sean Bridgers, Megan Stevenson, Goya Robles, Lucy Walters, Sarah Stiles, Antwone Tanner and Carolyn Dodd. The show’s original music composed by Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner Antonio Sanchez (Birdman) who makes his television scoring debut on the project. Ceiri Torjussen is scoring the upcoming documentary Pistorius. The film is directed by Vaughan Sivell (Prevenge, Third Star) and follows the rise and fall of Oscar Pistorius, the inspiring, Olympic hero turned convicted murderer who made history by becoming the first double-amputee sprinter to compete in the Olympics. Sivell is also producing the project with Sean Richard for Western Edge Pictures, and the Gennaker Group.
