Premiering tonight is the Starz limited series Howards End developed by Kenneth Lonergan and starring Hayley Atwell, Matthew Macfadyen, Julia Ormond, Philippa Coulthard, Joseph Quinn, Rosalind Eleazar, Tracey Ullman and Alex Lawther. The 4-parter’s original music is composed by Nico Muhly (The Reader, Kill Your Darlings, Margaret, Joshua). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also premiering tonight is the new BBC America original series Killing Eve created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and starring Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw, David Haig, Kim Bodnia, Darren Boyd, Sean Delaney, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Owen McDonnell. David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Analyze That, Haywire, Out of Sight) is composing the show’s original music. Jeff Danna to Score DreamWorks Animation’s ‘3 Below’

Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, The Boondock Saints, Storks, Tyrant, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus) has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix and DreamWorks Animation Television series 3 Below. The show is created by Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth, Pacific Rim) and follows two royal teen aliens who crash land on Arcadia and struggle to blend in as they evade intergalactic bounty hunters. The project marks the second series in del Toro’s Tales of Arcadia trilogy following Netflix’s Trollhunters, which is scored by Tim Davies and features themes by Alexandre Desplat. Four new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller A Quiet Place directed by John Krasinski and starring Krasinski himself, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe. The film’s original music is composed by Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, Scream, World War Z, The Hurt Locker, The Wolverine). Also opening wide is the comedy Blockers directed by Kay Cannon and starring Leslie Mann, Ike Barinholtz, John Cena, Kathryn Newton, Geraldine Indira Viswanathan and Gideon Adlan. Mateo Messina (Juno, Casual, Superstore, Butter, Barely Lethal) has composed the film’s original score. No soundtrack album has been announced. The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Academy Award nominee Dustin O’Halloran (Lion, Transparent, Like Crazy) and Bryan Senti (Experimenter, Lowriders). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 18, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Decca Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama On Chesil Beach. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dan Jones (Shadow of the Vampire, Lady Macbeth, Max) featuring solo violin by Esther Yoo. Also included are the classical pieces from the movie by Beethoven, Haydn, Elgar and Mozart. The soundtrack will be released on May 18, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
