This coming weekend, The Echo Society will be presenting its first three-day festival, VI: FAMILY. Songs from ‘Stranger Things’ to Be Released

Sony Music Entertainment’s Legacy Recordings will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Stranger Things. The compilation features 30 songs from the show’s first two seasons. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on October 27, 2017. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version and check back on this page for the full album details. Johann Johannsson has been named Film Composer of the Year at the 17th World Soundtrack Awards, tonight’s closing event of the 44th Ghent Film Festival for his score for Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival. Theme from CBS’ ‘S.W.A.T.’ to Be Released

Madison Gate Records will release the theme from the new CBS drama S.W.A.T. The track is a new version of Barry De Vorzon’s main titles theme from the classic 70s series and is performed by the reboot’s composer Robert Duncan (CastleBuffy the Vampire SlayerThe UnitTimelessTerriers). The theme will be released as a digital single on October 24, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also  listen to an audio clip. Benjamin Wallfisch revealed in a recent interview with Collider that he is currently scoring the upcoming psychological thriller Keepers. The movie marks the feature debut of Danish director Kristoffer Nyholm (Taboo, The Killing) and stars Gerard Butler, Peter Mullan and Connor Swindells. The film tells the story of three lighthouse keepers arriving on a remote, uninhabited island for a six-week shift, who discover something potentially life-changing that isn’t theirs to keep. Wayfind Records has released a soundtrack album for the thriller Wheelman. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brooke Blair Will Blair (Green RoomBlue Ruins, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Wheelman is written and directed by Jeremy Rush and stars Frank Grillo, Garret Dillahunt and Caitlin Carmichael. The Joe Carnahan-produced movie follows getaway driver in a botched robbery who puts his skills and smarts to the test when he receives shocking orders from an unknown caller. Alex Heffes has recently composed the music for the upcoming drama Pickpockets (Carteristas). The movie marks director Peter Webber’s first Spanish-language feature and stars Carlos Bardem, Emiliano Pernia, Marcela Mar, Natalia Reyes and Duban Prado. The movie is set in the capital of Bogota and revolves around 16-year old street urchin who, together with two pals, learns the art of pickpocketing from a master in the sleight of hand. Vincent Jones has signed on to score the upcoming Freeform original series Grown-ish. The show is a spin-off of ABC’s hit comedy Black-ish and stars Yara Shahidi, Deon Cole, Chris Parnell, Emily Arlook, Trevor Jackson, Francia Raisa and Jordan Buhat. The series follows Zoey Johnson as she heads to college and begins her hilarious journey to adulthood but quickly discovers that not everything goes her way once she leaves the nest. Black-ish creator Kenya Barris is executive producing the ABC Studios production with Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Helen Sugland and Brian Dobbins.  Read the rest of this entry »

Cliff Martinez is set to reteam with Nicolas Winding Refn on the upcoming Amazon original series Too Old To Die Young. The show is written by Winding Refn & comic author Ed Brubaker (Captain America, The Fade In) and explores the criminal underbelly of Los Angeles. Miles Teller is set to star in the drama as a grieving police officer who finds himself in an underworld filled with working-class hit men, Yakuza soldiers, cartel assassins sent from Mexico, Russian mafia captains and gangs of teen killers. The album features the original music from the fifth season of the show composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy300WatchmenDawn of the DeadJohn Wick), Joanne Higginbottom and Dieter Hartmann.
