Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Altered Carbon. The album features selections from the show’s original score composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, The Night Of, Star Trek: Discovery, Counterpart), including the composer’s main titles theme. Also included and a cover of Johnny Cash’s Ain’t No Grave performed by performed by actress Renée Elise Goldsberry (Quellcrist Falconer) and Sune Rose Wagner’s performance of White Zombie’s More Human Than Human. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 9. The download link will be added to this article within the next day. Legacy Recordings has announced a soundtrack album for the documentary Elvis Presley: The Searcher. The soundtrack, which features 18 essential Elvis Presley hits, including rare alternative versions of songs, will be released on April 6, 2018 and is now available for pre-order here (digital version) and here (vinyl version). A 3-CD deluxe edition features 37 additional Elvis cuts, as well as a special disc featuring selections from the film’s original score composed by Pearl Jam’s Mike McCreadyTom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ Wooden Heart, and the music that inspired Elvis. La-La Land Records has announced the full details of the new soundtrack release for the cult TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer created by Joss Whedon and starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon and Anthony Stewart Head. The 4-CD set features selections from the show’s original music by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man, Edge of Tomorrow) who received an Emmy Award for his score from the second season, Thomas Wander (2012, Independence Day Resurgence), Robert Duncan (Castle, Timeless, S.W.A.T.), Shawn Clement and Sean Murray. Also included is the original score from the 1992 Buffy the Vampire Slayer feature film starring Kristy Swanson composed by Academy Award nominee Carter Burwell (Carol, Fargo, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri). Screen Daily is reporting that Faithless member Sister Bliss is in talks to score the upcoming comedy How to Sell a War. The film marks the narrative feature directorial debut of author and documentary filmmaker Rudolph Herzog (son of Werner Herzog) and is set to star Katherine Parkinson and Lily Newmark. The movie follows a PR consultant, and her naive new intern, working for a global charity concert, trying to keep the event on track despite interference from a Russian warmonger. Tim Price wrote the screenplay based on an idea by Raid Sabbah. Samantha Taylor and Mike Downey (The Border Post, Deathwatch) are producing the project. Netflix announced today that Christopher Curtis, Marjorie Duffield and Helen Park are writing original songs for the upcoming animated feature Over the Moon. The film is directed by Glen Keane (Dear Basketball) and follows a girl who builds a rocket ship and blasts off to the moon in hopes of meeting a legendary Moon Goddess. Audrey Wells (Shall We DanceUnder the Tuscan Sun) wrote the screenplay. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brooke Blair & Will Blair (Green Room, Blue Ruins, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore, Wheelman). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Diverge is directed by James Morrison and stars Ivan Sandomire, Jamie Jackson, Erin Cunningham, Andrew Sensenig and Chris Henry Coffey.
