Marvel Music and Hollywood Records will release the official soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Ready Player One, Cast Away) who has previously scored the original 2012 Avengers movie, as well as Captain America: The First Avenger. Ramin Kousha is scoring the upcoming comedy 1st Born. The film is directed by Ali Atshani and stars Armin Amiri, Taylor Cole, Val Kilmer, William Baldwin, Robert Knepper, Jay Abdo, Denise Richards, Dominique Swain, Tom Berenger and Greg Grunberg. National Geographic and Lakeshore Records have announced a soundtrack album for the docu-series One Strange Rock. The album features the show’s original music composed by Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., All the Money in the World, Molly’s Game, The Counselor). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 30, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. One Strange Rock show is executive produced by Darren Aronofsky & Jane Root, hosted by Will Smith and tells the extraordinary story of Earth, told from the only people who have ever left it: astronauts. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The Last Kingdom, The White Queen, The White Princess). Germaine Franco has been hired to score the upcoming comedy Tag. The film is directed by Jeff Tomsic and stars Ed Helms, Jeremy Renner, Hannibal Buress, Annabelle Wallis, Isla Fisher, Jake Johnson, Jon Hamm, Rashida Jones and Leslie Bibb. The movie is based on a true story featured in the Wall Street Journal about a group of friends who have been playing a no-holds-barred version of the children’s game Tag for the last 30 years. Mark Steilen and Rob McKittrick have written the screenplay. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere release of the score for Disney’s 2004 animated comedy Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers directed by Donovan Cook. Academy Award nominee Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Young Sherlock Holmes, Rescuers Down Under, Lost in Space, Tombstone, Homeward Bound) has composed and conducted the film’s original music. The album features Broughton’s score, including music not used in the final version of the movie, as well as the songs from the film that were featured on the original 2004 soundtrack album released by Walt Disney Records. Kurt Farquhar has announced that he will be scoring the new CBS comedy pilot Welcome to the Neighborhood. The show is created by Jim Reynolds (The Big Bang Theory), directed by James Burrows (Will & Grace) and stars Josh Lawson, Tichina Arnold, Cedric the Entertainer, Christian Camargo, Sheaun McKinney and Marcel Spears. The pilot follows the nicest guy in the Midwest, who moves his family into a tough neighborhood in L.A. where not everyone appreciates his extreme neighborliness. Variety is reporting that Michel Legrand is currently scoring Orson Welles’ final film The Other Side of the Wind. The satire starring John Huston, Bob Random, Peter Bogdanovich, Susan Strasberg & Oja Kodar was shot between 1970 and 1976 and never finished and released until restoration work began a few years ago. The movie follows the final days of a legendary director striving for a comeback. Frank Marshall (Raiders of Lost Ark, Jurassic World, The Sixth Sense) and Filip Jan Rymsza are producing the project. Terence Blanchard has begun recording his score for the upcoming crime drama Black Klansman. The film is directed by Spike Lee and stars John David Washington, Topher Grace, Adam Driver, Jasper Paakkonen, Laura Harrier and Corey Hawkins. The movie is based on Ron Stallworth’s autobiography and tells the story of a police detective who dared to challenge the Ku Klux Klan and thwart its attempts to take over Colorado Springs, Colorado. Lee is also producing the Monkeypaw, QC Entertainment and Blumhouse production with Sean McKittrick (Donnie Darko), Raymond Mansfield, Shaun Redick, Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity) and Jordan Peele (Get Out).
