Brian Tyler has signed on to score the upcoming romantic comedy What Men Want. The film is directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray, Bringing Down the House, A Walk to Remember) and stars Taraji P. Henson, Tracy Morgan, Aldis Hodge, Max Greenfield and Wendi McLendon-Covey. The movie is inspired by Nancy Meyers’ 2000 feature What Women Want (scored by Alan Silvestri) and follows a female sports agent who has been constantly boxed out by her male colleagues when she gains the power to hear men’s thoughts.  Read the rest of this entry »

Phil Mossman is composing the music for the upcoming indie drama Donnybrook. The film is written and directed by Tim Sutton and stars Frank Grillo, Jamie Bell, Margaret Qualley and James Badge Dale. The movie is based on Frank Bill’s 2013 novel of the same title and follows a man hard up for cash and determined to support his family as he competes in the Donnybrook, a legendary brawl where a $100,000 prize goes to the last man standing. A soundtrack album will be released for the Australian comedic thriller Brothers’ Nest. The album features the film’s original music composed by Richard Pleasance. Also included are two songs by Pleasantville. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 1 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Brothers’ Nest is written and directed by Clayton Jacobson (Kenny) who also stars in the movie alongside Shane Jacobson, Lynette Curran, Kim Gyngell and Sarah Snook. The film is directed by Diederik Van Rooijen (Daylight, Taped) and stars Shay Mitchell, Stana Katic, Grey Damon, Louis Herthum, Nick Thune, Max McNamara, Jacob Ming-Trent and Kirby Johnson. The movie follows a disgraced ex-cop and recovering addict who must take a graveyard shift at the morgue in the hospital where she got sober and begins to witness terrorizing and violent murders shortly after a mysterious and brutally massacred body is delivered to the morgue.
