Geoff Zanelli is set to reteam with David Koepp on the upcoming horror thriller You Should Have Left. The film is written and directed by Koepp (Stir of Echoes, screenwriter of Jurassic Park & Spider-Man) and stars Kevin Bacon. The movie is based on Daniel Kehlmann’s 2007 novel of the same title and follows screenwriter who is working on a sequel to his hit film in a remote house in the Alps and begins to lose his bearings thanks to unexplained occurrences. The film is directed by Crispian Mills (A Fantastic Fear of Everything) and stars Simon Pegg, Michael Sheen, Asa Butterfield, Finn Cole, Hermione Corfield and Nick Frost. Universal Music Classics/Decca Gold announced a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Mary Shelley. The album features the film’s original score composed by Amelia Warner (Mum’s List). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, May 25, 2018 and will be available to download on Amazon. Mary Shelley is co-written and directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour and stars Elle Fanning, Maisie Williams, Bel Powley, Douglas Booth, Joanne Froggatt and Stephen Dillane. The movie chronicles the Frankenstein author’s tempestuous marriage to dissolute poet Percy Bysshe Shelley and the fateful night at a Swiss chateau that inspired her most famous creation. Kevin Kiner and Gustavo Santaolalla are the new composers of the Netflix original series Narcos. They are scoring the fourth season of the show, which will star Michael Peña, Diego Luna, Tenoch Huerta, Joaquin Cosio, Jose Maria Yazpik, Teresa Ruiz and Alyssa Diaz. The new season is set in Mexico and will explore the Guadalajara cartel. Showrunner Eric Newman (Children of Men, Dawn of the Dead) is executive producing the series with show creators Jose Padilha (RoboCop, 7 Days in Entebbe), Doug Miro & Carlo Bernard. Notefornote Entertainment has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1987 political thriller No Way Out directed by Roger Donaldson and starring Kevin Costner, Gene Hackman, Sean Young, Will Patton, Howard Duff, George Dzundza, Jason Bernard, Fred Thompson and Iman. WaterTower Music has released the cover versions of Wu-Tang Clan’s C.R.E.A.M. and The Rolling Stone’s Paint It Black by composer Ramin Djawadi (Game of ThronesIron ManA Wrinkle in TimePacific Rim) as featured in the last episode of the HBO original series Westworld. Mark Orton is scoring the upcoming indie comedy drama Elsewhere. The film is written and directed by Hernan Jimenez (About Us) and stars Aden Young, Parker Posey, Ken Jeong, Beau Bridges, Jacki Weaver and Jackie Tohn. The movie follows a man who is hopelessly attached to the seaside cottage that he and his late wife built together and – after getting evicted – vows to get it back at any price. Premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday, May 23, is the British mini-series The Split created and written by Abi Morgan, directed by Jessica Hobbs and starring Nicola Walker, Meera Syal, Stephen Mangan, Fiona Button, Deborah Findlay and Anthony Head. The show’s original music is composed by Isobel Waller-Bridge (Fleabag). The drama centers on a family of female divorce lawyers who are forced to face their past following the return of their estranged father after a 30 year absence.
