Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the sci-fi anthology series Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams. The album features the music from the series, including the main title theme composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Martian, The Chronicles of Narnia), as well as the composer’s score for the episodes The Commuter (for which he received an Emmy Award nomination) and The Father Thing. Also included is the music for three episodes composed by Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, 10 Cloverfield Lane), two episodes by Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia), one episode by Ólafur Arnalds (Broadchurch), as well as two episodes by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It), one of which he co-scored with BT (The Fast & the Furious, Monster). Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1995 animated feature Balto directed by Simon Wells and starring Kevin Bacon, Bridget Fonda, Jim Cummings, Phil Collins, Bob Hoskins and Miriam Margoyles. The album features the expanded original score from the Amblin Entertainment production composed and conducted by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Braveheart, Apollo 13, Aliens) and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, including previously unreleased music and alternate cues. Elliot Goldenthal confirmed in a recent interview on the Nikhil Hogan Show that he will be scoring Julie Taymor’s next feature The Glorias: A Life on the Road. The film stars Julianne Moore feminist icon Gloria Steinem and follows her journey to become a crusader for equal rights and her groundbreaking work as a journalist and activist. Alicia Vikander is reportedly also in talks to join the drama. Taymor also co-wrote the screenplay with playwright Sarah Ruhl based on Steinem’s memoir My Life on the Road. The Orchard will release a soundtrack album for the indie musical comedy Wanderland. The album features the film’s original songs written by director Josh Klausner, Wendy Parr and Atarah Valentine. Also included are selections of the movie’s original score composed by Sven Faulconer (Blood Father, A Series of Unfortunate Events). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 9, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Frank Ilfman has signed on to score the upcoming spy thriller The Operative. The film is written and directed by Yuval Adler (Bethlehem) and stars Diane Kruger, Martin Freeman and Cas Anvar. The movie is based on the Israeli best seller The English Teacher written by former Israeli intelligence officer Yiftach Reicher Atir and tells the story of a woman recruited by the Mossad to go undercover in Tehran who becomes entangled in a complex triangle with her handler and her subject. Anne Carey (Can You Ever Forgive Me?, Mr. Holmes, 20th Century Women) is producing the project for Archer Gray, alongside Match Factory Production’s Michael Weber & Viola Fügen (Foxtrot) and Spiro Films’ Eitan Mansuri (The Congress). Room 13 has released a soundtrack album for the British psychological horror thriller Possum. The album features the film’s original music composed and performed by The Radiophonic Workshop. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A CD version is set to be released on November 23 and is now available for pre-order here. Possum is written and directed by Matthew Holness and stars Sean Harris, Alun Armstrong and Charlie Eales. The movie revolves around a disgraced children’s puppeteer who returns to his childhood home, where is forced to confront his wicked stepfather and the secrets that have tortured his entire life. Dolly Parton has announced the full details of the soundtrack album for the comedy Dumplin’ this week. The album features the songs from the movie by the Grammy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated singer/songwriter, including collaborations with Sia (already available to download here), Elle King, Mavis Staples, Miranda Lambert, Willa Amai, Rhonda Vincent, Alison Krauss, Macy Gray and DOROTHY. Linda Perry co-wrote several of the songs and serves as a producer of the album. Premiering on Wednesday, October 31 is the new CBS All Access original series Tell Me a Story created by Kevin Williamson and starring James Wolk, Billy Magnussen, Dania Ramirez, Danielle Campbell, Paul Wesley and Kim Cattrall. Premiering on Friday, November 2 is the new Amazon original series Homecoming created by Eli Horowitz & Micah Bloomberg, directed by Sam Esmail and starring Julia Roberts, Bobby Cannavale, Stephan James, Shea Whigham, Jeremy Allen White, Alex Karpovsky, Sissy Spacek, Dermot Mulroney, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Hong Chau. The show doesn’t feature an original score. Maggie Phillips serves as the project’s music supervisor. The full first season of the show, which follows a caseworker who helps soldiers transition back to civilian life, will be available to stream on Friday on Amazon Prime. Quartet Records has announced a soundtrack album featuring two new scores composed by Pino Donaggio (Carrie, Dressed to Kill, Blow Out, Body Double, Passion) and performed by the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony. The first title featured on the release is this year’s Italian road movie My Name Is Thomas (Il mio nome è Thomas) directed by and starring Terence Hill asa man  who heads off across the desert on his Harley Davidson and rescues a young woman who has fallen into the hands of two bandits. Donaggio also co-wrote the original song Pure Love performed by Claudia Arvati for the film. Also included on the release is the composer’s music for the Italian drama Mare di grano directed by Fabrizio Guarducci. The album features the film’s original music composed by Carter Burwell (Fargo, Carol, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Twilight, True Grit).
