Ed Sheeran has recorded an original song for Danny Boyle’s upcoming musical comedy drama Yesterday. The track will be featured in the movie written by Richard Curtis and starring Himesh Patel, Lily James, Kate McKinnon, as well as the singer/songwriter himself. The movie, which follows a struggling singer whose dreams are fading who wakes to discover that The Beatles have never existed, also features an original score by Daniel Pemberton and new recordings of classic Beatles songs. Mateo Messina (Juno, Blockers, Butter, Barely Lethal) has signed on to score the upcoming Netflix original movie Tall Girl. The film is directed by Nzingha Stewart and stars Ava Michelle, Griffin Gluck, Luke Eisner, Sabrina Carpenter, Paris Berelc, Anjelika Washington, Steve Zahn, Angela Kinsey, Clara Wilsey and Rico Paris. The comedy centers on a six-foot-tall girl as she tries to make her way through high school feeling like an outcast. Sam Wolfson wrote the screenplay. McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation), Mary Viola (The Duff, I Feel Pretty, Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments) & Corey Marsh are producing the project for Wonderland. Deutsche Grammophon has released a soundtrack album for the 2012 Danish documentary White Black Boy (Sort hvid dreng). The album features the film’s original music composed by Jóhann Jóhannsson (Arrival, The Theory of Everything, Sicario, Prisoners).
