Max Richter’s Main Theme from HBO’s ‘My Brilliant Friend’ Released

Deutsche Grammophon has released the main theme for the HBO and RAI original series My Brilliant Friend. The track, entitled Elena & Lila, is written by Max Richter (The Leftovers, Mary, Queen of Scots, Waltz with Bashir, Hostiles, White Boy Rick, Miss Sloane). The theme is now available as a digital single on Amazon. My Brilliant Friend is co-written and directed by Saverio Costanzo and stars Elisa Del Genio, Ludovica Nasti, Margherita Mazzucco and Gaia Girace. The drama based on Elena Ferrante’s bestselling book of the same name tells the story of a now-elderly woman who discovers the most important friend in her life seems to have disappeared without a trace. ‘Spitak’ Soundtrack Details

Serjical Strike Records has released a soundtrack album for the Armenian drama Spitak. The album features the film’s original music composed by Serj Tankian (1915, Furious, Intent to Destroy) who is best known as the lead singer of System of a Down. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Spitak is directed by Alexander Kott and stars Aleksandr Kuznetsov, Olivier Pagès and Oleg Vasilkov. The movie is based on true events and tells a story of the devastating earthquake, which happened in the city of Spitak on December 7, 1988. The drama, which has been selected as the Armian entry for next year’s Academy Awards, opened in Armenian theaters this past April and will receive a theatrical release in the U.S. on December 7, 2018.
