The show is executive produced by Steven Soderbergh (Traffic, Erin Brockovich, Ocean’s Eleven), Paul Pawlowski & David Check and tells the controversial true-crime story of Clint Lorance who is serving a 19-year sentence for murder at The United States Penitentiary, Leavenworth. Decca Records has released a soundtrack album for the British comedy Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans. The album features the songs from the movie performed by cast members including Kate Nash, Emilia Jones, Ruper Graves & others. Also included is the film’s original score composed by Richie Webb (who is also scoring the Horrible Histories TV series), Matt Katz and Iain Farrington. The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the comedy drama Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Al Pacino. The film doesn’t feature an original score. Mary Ramos serves as the project’s music supervisor. Columbia Records has released a soundtrack album featuring tracks by Deep Purple, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Revere & The Raiders Buffy Sainte-Marie & others today. Opening in limited release is the drama Skin written and directed by Guy Nattiv and starring Jamie Bell, Vera Farmiga, Danielle Macdonald, Mike Colter and Bill Camp. Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Maniac, The Good Doctor, Easy) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. CMA Records will release a new compilation soundtrack album featuring several scores from the films of director Peter Mullan composed by Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Love Actually, Romeo & Juliet). Among the titles included are the composer’s scores for 1998’s Orphans, 2002’s The Magdalene Sisters, 2010’s Neds, as well as his music for the shorts Good Day for the Bad Guys and Fridge.
