Composer Brett Detar is reuniting with director William Brent Bell on the upcoming horror sequel Brahms: The Boy 2. The film starring Katie Holmes, Christopher Convery, Owain Yeoman and Ralph Ineson centers on a young family that moves into Heelshire Mansion, unaware of its dark history, as the young child bonds with an eerie, life-like doll he calls Brahms. Stacey Menear who scripted the first movie wrote the screenplay. Tom Rosenberg & Gary Lucchesi (Underworld, The Lincoln Lawyer) and Eric Reid (Peppermint) are producing the project for Lakeshore Entertainment, alongside Matt Berenson (Daddy Day Care), Jim Wedaa (Unstoppable) and Roy Lee (It, The Lego Movie). ‘Lost and Love’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Caldera Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 2015 Chinese/Hong Kong drama Lost and Love (Shi Gu). The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Zbigniew Preisner (The Secret Garden, When a Man Loves a Woman, Three Colors). Lost and Love is directed by Sanyuan Peng and stars Andy Lau and Jing Boran. Hildur Guðnadóttir has won her first Emmy Award for her score for the episode Please Remain Calm of the HBO limited series Chernobyl in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or a Special category at tonight’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony at the Microsoft Theatre LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles. In the Original Main Title Theme Music category, Nicholas Britell received his first Emmy Award for his main titles theme from HBO’s Succession. Ramin Djawadi was honored with his second Primetime Emmy Award for his score for the episode The Long Night from HBO’s Game of Thrones in the Music Composition for a Series category. Premiering tonight is the documentary Country Music directed and produced by Ken Burns. Legacy Recordings has released a soundtrack album in two different versions featuring a selection of the songs from the movie by artists such as the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Randy Travis & others. Premiering on Thursday, September 19, is the comedy First Wives Club developed by Tracy Oliver based on the 1996 movie of the same title and starring Ryan Michelle Bathe, Jill Scott and Michelle Buteau. Chris Alan Lee (Younger, No Good Nick) is composing the show’s original score. Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the drama Hustlers written and directed by Lorene Scafaria and starring Constance Wu, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo and Cardi B. The movie doesn’t feature an original score. STX Entertainment’s head of music Jason Markey serves as the project’s music supervisor. No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Also opening wide is the film adaptation of The Goldfinch directed by John Crowley and starring Ansel Elgort, Nicole Kidman, Oakes Fegley, Aneurin Barnard, Finn Wolfhard, Sarah Paulson, Luke Wilson, Jeffrey Wright, Ashleigh Cummings and Willa Fitzgerald. Lionboy Records has released the cover version of Rob Zombie’s song Dragula by singer/songwriter Lissie from Scott Beck’s & Bryan Woods’ horror thriller Haunt. The track is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Also listen to the full song after the jump. Haunt is written and directed by Beck & Woods and stars Katie Stevens, Will Brittain and Lauryn Alisa McClain.
