Danny Elfman has revealed in a recent interview with JOE.ie that he is currently scoring the upcoming thriller The Woman in the Window. The film is directed by Joe Wright (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Darkest Hour, Hanna) and stars Amy Adams, Gary Oldman, Julianne Moore, Wyatt Russell, Anthony Mackie and Brian Tyree Henry. The movie is based on A.J. Finn’s bestseller of the same name and centers on an agoraphobic child psychologist who witnesses a crime while spying on her neighbors, leaving her to determine whether to alert the police. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the animated sequel Frozen II directed by Chris Buck & Jennifer Lee and starring Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad. Christophe Beck (Ant-Man, The Muppets, Edge of Tomorrow) has composed the film’s original score and Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez have composed the original songs. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs, as well as a deluxe edition featuring both songs and score. Click here for more information.
Also opening wide is the biographical drama A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood directed by Marielle Heller and starring Tom Hanks, Matthew Rhys, Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Cooper. The film’s original music is composed by Nate Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?, The Diary of a Teenage Girl). Walt Disney Records has released the third soundtrack album for the Disney+ original Star Wars series The Mandalorian. The album features the original score from the show’s third episode composed by Academy Award winner Ludwig Goransson (Black Panther, Creed, Community, Venom, Everything Everything).
