Lakeshore Records will release two soundtrack albums for the NBC and Gaumont Television series Hannibal. The albums feature selections of the original music from the show’s third and final season composed by Brian Reitzell (Lost in Translation, Friday Night Lights, Boss, Stranger Than Fiction). Also included are the original songs Love Crime from the Wrath of the Lamb feat. Siouxsie Sioux and Snake Charmer feat. Marc Almond. The soundtracks will be released digitally on December 11, 2015 and physically in early 2016. Premiering on Thursday, December 10, is the NBC movie Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors directed by Stephen Herek (Mr. Holland’s Opus, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure) and starring Jennifer Nettles, Ricky Schroder, Gerald McRaney and Alyvia Alyn Lin. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Leggett (My Name is Earl, Anne Frank’s Holocaust) and Velton Ray Bunch (Quantum Leap, Star Trek: Enterprise) who previously collaborated on the theme for the NBC drama The Pretender. The movie is set in the Tennessee Great Smoky Mountains in 1955 and tells the story of the incidents in Dolly Parton’s and her family’s life around the time she was nine years old. Premiering on Friday, December 11, is the Netflix original movie The Ridiculous 6 directed by Frank Coraci and starring Adam Sandler, Taylor Lautner, Nick Nolte, Will Forte, Rob Schneider, Terry Crews, Blake Shelton, Whitney Cummings, Steve Buscemi, Luke Wilson, Steve Zahn, Jorge Garcia, Danny Trejo, Chris Parnell, Nick Swardson and Jon Lovitz. Rupert Gregson-Williams (Click, Bee Movie, Veep, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Bedtime Stories) and Elmo Weber has composed the film’s original music. The comedy western follows an outlaw who was raised by Native Americans and, alongside his five brothers, goes on a mission to find their wayward, deadbeat dad. Soundtrack for Netflix’s ‘All Hail King Julien’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for DreamWorks Animation Television’s Netflix original series All Hail King Julien. The album features the songs from the series, including the main title theme Who’s Da King by Blaze n Vill, as well as tracks by The DeeKompressors, Melanie Taylor and Linus of Hollywood. Also included are five tracks from the show’s original score composed by Frederik Wiedmann (Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Beware the Batman, Miles from Tomorrowland). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 11, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. All Hail King Julien stars the characters from DreamWorks Animation’s movie Madagascar and features the voices of Danny Jacobs, Andy Richter, Michael Richardson, Henry Winkler, India de Beaufort and David Krumholtz.
Varese Sarabande to Release ‘Person of Interest’ Seasons 3 & 4 Soundtrack
Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the CBS drama Person of Interest. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s third and fourth season composed by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Pacific Rim, Iron Man, Clash of the Titans, The Strain). The soundtrack will be released on January 29, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Soundtrack Album for USA’s ‘Suits’ Announced
Lakeshore Records will release the first official soundtrack album for the USA original series Suits. The album features selections from the show’s original score composed by Christopher Tyng (Futurama, The O.C., Covert Affairs, Rescue Me), as well as the series’ title song Greenback Boogie performed by Ima Robot. Premiering tomorrow, November 30, is the new NBC comedy Superstore created by Justin Spitzer and starring America Ferrera, Ben Feldman, Mark McKinney, Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nichole Bloom and Nico Santos. The show’s original music is composed by Mateo Messina (Juno, Casual, Butter, Truth Be Told, Growing Up Fisher). Superstore revolves around a unique family of employees at a super-sized mega store. ‘Deutschland 83’ Soundtrack Details
Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the SundanceTV original series Deutschland 83. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Reinhold Heil (Run Lola Run, Cloud Atlas, Helix, Legends, The International). The soundtrack is now available digitally in Germany and a CD release is set for next month. The album will be released in the U.S. on December 11 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Deutschland 83 is created by Anna & Joerg Winger and stars Jonas Nay, Maria Schrader, Ulrich Noethen, Sylvester Groth, Errol T. Harwood and Sonja Gerhardt. The series follows a 24-year-old East Germany native who is sent to the west as an undercover spy for the Stasi foreign service to gather the secrets of NATO military strategy.
Nathaniel Mechaly Scoring ‘Midnight Sun’
Nathaniel Mechaly is composing the music for the upcoming thriller series Midnight Sun. The show, which marks the first French/Swedish TV co-prodcution, is directed by Mans Marlind & Bjorn Stein (The Bridge) and stars Leila Bekhti (The Prophet) and Gustaf Hammarsten (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo). The series follows a French detective who teams up with a Swedish detective to investigate the bestial murder of a French citizen in a remote mining community in the far north of Sweden.
‘The Wiz LIVE!’ Soundtrack Details
Masterworks/Broadway Records will release a soundtrack album for the NBC television event The Wiz LIVE!. The album features the songs performed by the TV special’s cast, led by Shanice Williams, as well as Queen Latifah (The Wiz), Mary J. Blige (Evillene), David Alan Grier (Cowardly Lion), Ne-Yo (Tin Man), Elijah Kelley (Scarecrow), Uzo Aduba (Glinda), Amber Riley (Addaperle), Common (Bouncer) and Stephanie Mills (Auntie Em). The soundtrack will be released physically on December 18, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
