Premiering on Friday, August 25, is the Amazon original series The Tick created by Ben Edlund based on his own comic book series and starring Peter Serafinowicz, Griffin Newman, Jackie Earle Haley, Valorie Curry, Yara Martinez and Brendan Hine. Universal Music has announced two soundtrack albums for the docu-series The Vietnam War. The first album features popular songs featured in the show that define the era, including tracks from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Simon & Garfunkel, Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds, Otis Redding, Santana, Ray Charles, Nina Simone & more. The soundtrack will be released on September 15, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on 
BMG Soundstage has released a soundtrack album for the Syfy original movie Sharknado 5. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christopher Cano & Chris Ridenhour who previously scored the last three installments in the Sharknado series. Also included are songs by Quint, New Day Dawn and Geno Lenardo & Ryan T Hope. The soundtrack is now available to download on 
Hollywood Records and Marvel Music will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series The Defenders. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by John Paesano (The Maze Runner, Pacific Rim Uprising) who previously scored both seasons of Marvel’s Daredevil. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 18 and will be available download on 
John Debney has joined the music team of Fox’s upcoming comedy drama The Orville and will score multiple episodes of the show created by Seth MacFarlane (Ted, Family Guy) who also stars in the series alongside Adrianne Palicki, Mark Jackson, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, J Lee, Halston Sage and Penny Johnson. 
Universal Music will release a soundtrack album for the NBC hit drama This Is Us. The album features a selection of songs from the series by Paul Simon, Sufjan Stevens, Stevie Wonder, Wilco, Cat Stevens, Nick Drake, Ringo Starr & more, as well as Mandy Moore’s cover of Little Feat’s Willin‘. Also included is the original song We Can Always Come Back To This performed by Brian Tyree Henry and written by the show’s composer Siddhartha Khosla & singer/songwriter Chris Pierce, a suite from Khosla’s original score from the show, as well as two tracks from the composer’s band Goldspot. Premiering tonight is the Epix original series Get Shorty created by Davey Holmes and starring Chris O’Dowd, Ray Romano, Sean Bridgers, Megan Stevenson, Goya Robles, Lucy Walters, Sarah Stiles, Antwone Tanner and Carolyn Dodd. Dwayne Wayans is the composer of the new NBC comedy Marlon. The show is created by Christopher Moynihan & Marlon Wayans who also stars in the series with Essence Atkins, Notlim Taylor, Amir O’Neil, Bresha Webb and Diallo Riddle. The comedy is inspired by the real life of Marlon Wayans and centers on a loving (but immature) father committed to co-parenting his two kids with his very-together ex-wife. Moynihan and Wayans are also executive producing the Universal Television production with Rick Alvarez (Fifty Shades of Black, White Chicks), Michael Rotenberg (Silicon Valley, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), as well as Andy Ackerman (The New Adventures of Old Christine) who also directed the pilot episode. 
Gary Lionelli is scoring HBO’s upcoming untitled Ben Bradlee documentary. The film is directed by John Maggio and centers on the legendary Washington Post executive editor who became a national figure during the presidency of Richard Nixon, when he challenged the federal government over the right to publish the Pentagon Papers. Peter Kunhardt (Becoming Warren Buffett) is producing the project with Richard Cohen. 
Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the AMC original series Halt and Catch Fire. The album features a selection of songs from the show, including the main title theme by Trentemøller, as well as tracks by Violent Femmes, The Clash, Peter Gabriel, Pixies, David Bowie, talking heads, Ex Hex & more.
