Silva Screen Records has released a new soundtrack album for the Channel 5/PBS Masterpiece series All Creatures Great and Small. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Alexandra Harwood (The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, The Escape, Growing Up Wild). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A CD version is set to come out on February 4, 2022 and is available for pre-order here. All3Media & Playground Television have previously released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s score from Season 1 last year.

First Song from Fox’s ‘Monarch’ Soundtrack Released
Arista Records has released the first song from the upcoming Fox musical drama Monarch. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is the cover version of Hank Williams Jr.’s A Country Boy Can Survive performed by the show’s lead actor Trace Adkins . Soundtrack Album for Apple TV+’s & BBC’s ‘9/11: Inside the President’s War Room’ Released
Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ documentary special 9/11: Inside The President’s War Room. The album features the film’s original music composed by Segun Akinola (Doctor Who, The Last Tree, Stephen). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. 9/11: Inside The President’s War Room is directed by Adam Wishart and tells the story of 9/11 through the eyes of the presidency by gaining unprecedented access to the key decision makers who responded for the nation. The special narrated by Jeff Daniels recounts the 12 hours after the strike on that momentous day.
‘The Wheel of Time’ Season 1 – Vol. 3 Soundtrack Released
Milan Records has released the third soundtrack album featuring the original score from the first season of the Amazon original series The Wheel of Time. The Vol. 3 album featuring music composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Widow, The Lego Batman Movie, Bad Boys for Life, The Crown, His Dark Materials, Gemini Man) is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The first volume was released last month and the second volume dropped earlier this month. The label has also released The First Turn featuring Balfe’s principal themes from the series in November.
First Track from Paramount+’s ‘1883’ Soundtrack Released
Milan Records has released the first track from the soundtrack for the new Paramount+ original series 1883. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is 1883 Opus composed by Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Now You See Me, Crazy Rich Asians, Yellowstone) who is co-scoring the show with Breton Vivian. Danny Elfman & Chris Bacon to Score Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ TV Series
Netflix announced today that Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland, The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Chris Bacon (Source Code, Gnomeo & Juliet, Bates Motel) are set to compose the original music for the streamer’s upcoming original series Wednesday. Elfman is writing the theme and is collaborating with Bacon to score the show created by Al Gough & Miles Millar (Smallville, Shanghai Noon) based on the characters from The Addams Family and starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams and Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams. Tim Burton is directing multiple episodes of the live-action coming-of-age comedy, which charts Wednesday’s years as a student at the peculiar Nevermore Academy.
Details for ‘The Witcher’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Revealed
The track list of the new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series The Witcher has been revealed. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Joseph Trapanese (Shadow and Bone, Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, Lady and the Tramp, The Greatest Showman, Project Power). Also included are three additional vocal tracks performed by actor Joey Batey who plays the role of Jaskier in the series. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 17 by Milan Records. A CD version is set to come out on February 25, 2022 and a vinyl edition will be released on July 29, 2022 (click here to pre-order). The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the music from Season 1 in early 2020.
‘El Deafo’ Soundtrack EP Announced
Merge Records will release a soundtrack EP for the Apple TV+ animated series El Deafo. The 5-track EP features the original songs from the show written and performed by Katie Crutchfield (as Waxahatchee). The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 7, 2022 and is now available for pre-order here. A first track (Tomorrow) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. El Deafo is executive produced and written by Will McRobb based on Cece Bell’s graphic memoir of the same title and features the voices of Lexi Finigan, Pamela Adlon, Jane Lynch and Chuck Nic. The Lighthouse Studios production scored by Michael Andrews (Donnie Darko, Freaks & Geeks, Neighbors) follows perceptive young girl as she loses her hearing and finds her inner superhero.
Matthew Compton Scoring Peacock’s ‘MacGruber’ TV Series
Matthew Compton (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping , Palm Springs) is returning to score the new Peacock original series MacGruber. The show is based on the 2010 feature of the same title (scored by Compton) and stars Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, Sam Elliott, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Zane and Mickey Rourke. The comedy follows the title character who is finally released after rotting in prison for over a decade and must reassemble his old team to take down a mysterious villain from his past.
Gustavo Santaolalla’s & paopao’s ‘I Heard It Through the Grapevine’ Cover from ABC’s ‘Promised Land’ Released
Hollywood Records has released the cover version of Marvin Gaye’s I Heard It Through the Grapevine from the upcoming ABC drama Promised Land. The song produced by Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Book of Life, Narcos: Mexico, Finch) and performed by paopao is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon.
