Adam Taylor (The Handmaid’s Tale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Before I Fall, The Right Stuff, Meadowland) is the composer of the new Hulu original series Black Cake. The show is based on Charmaine Wilkerson’s best-selling novel of the same name and stars Mia Isaac, Adrienne Warren, Chipo Chung, Lashay Anderson, Ashley Thomas, Faith Alabi and Glynn Turman. The drama revolves around a runaway bride who disappears into the surf off the coast of Jamaica in the 1960s and is feared drowned or a fugitive on the run for her husband’s murder. Decades later, a widow loses her battle with cancer, leaving her two estranged children a flash drive that holds previously untold stories of her journey from the Caribbean to America.

‘Planet Earth III’ Soundtrack Album Details
Silva Screen Records will release the official soundtrack album for BBC’s natural history series Planet Earth III. The album features the music from the show, including the main themes written by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, The Dark Knight,Dune, Inception), Jacob Shea (Seven Worlds One Planet, Blue Planet II) and Sara Barone (Grimcutty) and the original score composed by Shea & Barone for Bleeding Fingers Music. Bastille’s Dan Smith has collaborated with the composers on the score and his vocals are featured on the project’s opening title theme. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the German Amazon original series Sebastian Fitzek’s Therapy (Die Therapie). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Johannes Kobilke (The Midnight Meat Train, Pathology, Bier Royal). AMC’s ‘Nautilus’ to Feature Music by Nainita Desai
Nainita Desai (For Sama, The Deepest Breath, Crossfire, The Tower, The Reason I Jump, Funny Woman) has composed the original music for the upcoming live-action series Nautilus. The show is developed by Xavier Marchand (Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris) & Anand Tucker (Hilary & Jackie, Shopgirl) inspired by Jules Verne’s classic novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, written by James Dormer (Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands) and stars Shazad Latif, Georgia Flood, Céline Menville & Thierry Fremont and features guest appearances by Richard E Grant, Noah Taylor and Anna Torv. The 10-part adventure drama tells the origin story of the iconic Captain Nemo: an Indian Prince robbed of his birthright and family and a prisoner of the East India Mercantile Company.
World Premiere Release of Ernest Gold’s ‘Tom Horn’ & ‘Gore Vidal’s Lincoln’ Scores Announced
Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere CD release of two scores composed by Academy Award nominee Ernest Gold (Exodus, It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, On the Beach, Too Much, Too Soon). The Ernest Gold Collection – Volume 2 features the composer’s score from the 1988 NBC miniseries Gore Vidal’s Lincoln directed by Lamont Johnson and starring Sam Waterston, Mary Tyler Moore, Richard Mulligan, John Houseman & Tim Guinee, as well as his music from the 1980 western Tom Horn directed by William Wiard and starring Steve McQueen, Linda Evans and Richard Farnsworth. Making its linear premiere tonight is the Showtime limited series Fellow Travelers created by Ron Nyswaner based on the novel by Thomas Mallon and starring Matt Bomer, Jonathan Bailey, Allison Williams, Jelani Alladin and Noah J. Ricketts. The show’s original music is composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Dynasty, Boston Strangler). The 8-part drama, which chronicles the volatile romance of two very different men who meet in McCarthy-era Washington, premiered this Friday on Paramount+ with Showtime and will air every Sunday night on Showtime.
Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, October 30, is the British limited series Mayflies written by Andrea Gibb based on Andrew O’Hagan’s bestselling novel of the same title and starring Martin Compston, Tony Curran, Ashley Jensen, Rian Gordon, Tracy Ifeachor and Tom Glynn-Carney. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The Wheel of Time, His Dark Materials, Black Widow) & Joseph Stevenson have composed the show’s original music. The 2-parter, which centers on the friendship between two Scottish men, premiered in the UK last year on BBC One and is making its domestic debut on Acorn TV.

Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original limited series All the Light We Cannot See.
