The movie follows a top protection agent and his mortal enemy and a most notorious hitman who are thrown together for 24 hours. Tom O’Connor (Fire with Fire) wrote the screenplay.

Christophe Beck to Score Andrew Niccol’s ‘Anon’
Christophe Beck is reteaming with director Andrew Niccol on the upcoming sci-fi thriller Anon. The film is written and directed by Niccol (The Truman Show, Gattaca, Lord of War) and stars Clive Owen, Amanda Seyfried, Colm Feore and Sony Walger. The movie is set in a world with no privacy, ignorance or anonymity and where all lives are transparent, traceable and recorded by the authorities, and follows a man who stumbles on a young woman with no digital footprint and invisible to the police. Niccol is also producing the project with Oliver Simon and Daniel Baur for K5 Film.
Laura Karpman & Raphael Saadiq Scoring ‘Step Sisters’
Laura Karpman and Raphael Saadiq have recently recorded their score for the upcoming dance comedy Step Sisters. The film is directed by Charles Stone (Drumline, Mr. 300) and stars Megalyn Echikunwoke, Eden Sher, Lyndon Smith, Gage Golightly, Nia Jervier, Alessandra Torresani, Marque Richardson, Naturi Naughton and Matt McGorry. The movie centers on an ambitious black sorority girl who, in order to get admitted to the law school of her dreams, agrees to cross cultural lines and teach the exclusive art of black Greek stepping to a band of wild, party-obsessed white sorority girls whose charter is about to be revoked.
Will Blair & Brooke Blair to Score ‘Jonathan’
Will Blair and Brooke Blair have been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama Jonathan. The film is directed by Bill Oliver and stars Ansel Elgort, Patricia Clarkson and Suki Waterhouse. The movie follows two twins who live by a strict set of rules including no lies and no romantic relationships. When one of them finds out that the other has fallen in love, his ordered life is thrown into chaos. Oliver also co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Nickowitz. Randy Manis (The Calling, Big Sky) and Ricky Tollman are producing the project. Neal Dodson, Jim Reeve and Robert Halmi Jr. serve as executive producers.
Ben Folds Scoring ‘Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie’
Singer/songwriter Ben Folds is making his narrative film scoring debut on the upcoming comedy Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie. The film is directed by Jeff Garlin who also stars in the movie with Christine Woods, Natasha Lyonne, Kaley Cuoco, Amy Sedaris, Steven Weber, Eddie Peppitone and Leah Remini. The movie follows Homicide detective Gene Handsome as he sets out to solve a woman’s murder while searching for clues about what’s missing from his personal life. Garlin also co-wrote the screenplay with Andrea Seigel (Laggies).
Nitin Sawhney Scoring Andy Serkins’ ‘Breathe’
Nitin Sawhney is currently scoring the upcoming drama Breathe. The film is directed by Andy Serkis and stars Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, Hugh Bonneville and Charles Chapman. The movie is based on a true story and revolves around a brilliant and adventurous man whose life takes a dramatic turn when polio leaves him paralyzed. William Nicholson (Gladiator, Les Miserables, Unbroken, Shadowlands) wrote the screenplay. Jonathan Cavendish (Bridget Jones’s Diary, Elizabeth: The Golden Age) is producing the project for The Imaginarium Studios.

Eric Hachikian is composing the original score for the upcoming romantic comedy When We First Met. The film is directed by Ari Sandel (The DUFF, West Bank Story) and stars Adam Devine, Alexandra Daddario and Robbie Amell. The movie revolves around a man who spends the perfect first night with the girl of his dreams, but gets relegated to the friend zone. Three years later, he gets the unexpected chance to travel back in time and alter that night, and his fate, over and over again. Devine also co-wrote the screenplay with John Whittington (The LEGO Batman Movie).
Raney Shockne Scoring Eric England’s ‘Huntsville’
Raney Shockne has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Huntsville. The film is directed by Eric England (Contracted, Get the Girl) and stars Dylan McDermott, Sophie Turner and Jack Kilmer. The movie follows a solitary man in a Florida town who develops a questionable relationship with a recently transplanted high school student. Anthony Ragnone wrote the Black List-honored screenplay. Luisa Iskin, Jeff Kalligheri, Kevin Matusow (Touchback), Ash Sarohia and John Wunder are producing the project.
Rolfe Kent to Score Alexander Payne’s ‘Downsizing’
Rolfe Kent is reteaming with director Alexander Payne on the upcoming social satire Downsizing. The film starring Matt Damon, Christoph Waltz, Kristen Wiig, Hong Chau, Alec Baldwin, Neil Patrick Harris, Jason Sudeikis and Rolf Lassgård follows a man who joins the throngs of people undergoing a new process that reduces people to a tiny fraction of their size before moving to one of the many communities of small people that are sprouting up around the world.
Bear McCreary to Score ‘Half to Death’
Bear McCreary revealed in a recent interview with Film Music Magazine that he is scoring the upcoming horror thriller Half to Death. The film is directed by Christopher Landon (Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, screenwriter of Disturbia) and stars Jessica Rothe, Ruby Modine, Charles Aitken and Rachel Matthews. Landon also co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Lobdell. The movie follows a woman who must solve the mystery of her own murder before her chances run out.
