The film is directed by Leslie Small (Kevin Hart: What Now?) and stars La La Anthony, Romany Malco, Deon Cole, Sonequa Martin-Green, Darlene Love and Tamala Jones. The comedy follows a popular radio DJ who moves in with his aunt after he gets fired, bringing along his four spoiled children, and a plan to return to the airwaves.

Will Blair and Brooke Blair (Green Room, Blue Ruin, Hold the Dark, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore) are scoring the upcoming thriller The Silencing. The Newton Brothers (The Haunting of Hill House, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Life of Crime, Oculus, Detachment) have taken over scoring duties on the upcoming supernatural thriller reboot of The Grudge. The film is written and directed by Nicolas Pesce (Piercing) and stars Andrea Riseborough, John Cho, Demián Bichir, Jacki Weaver, Betty Gilpin and Lin Shaye. The movie based on the 2002 Japanese feature Ju-on: The Grudge and the 2004 U.S. remake (scored by Christopher Young) revolves around a house that is haunted by a vengeful ghost that curses those who enter it…with a violent death.

Christopher Gunning to Score Lee Daniels’ ‘The United States vs. Billie Holiday’
It was announced today that BAFTA-nominated composer Christopher Gunning (La Vie en Rose, Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Grace of Monaco) will come out of retirement to score the upcoming biographical drama The United States vs. Billie Holiday. The film is directed by Lee Daniels (Precious, The Butler, Empire) and stars Andra Day in the title role of Billie Holiday, alongside Trevante Rhodes, Garrett Hedlund and Natasha Lyonne. The movie is inspired by the 2015 New York Time bestseller Chasing the Scream: The First and Last Days of the War on Drugs and will follow the jazz singer during her career as she is targeted by the Federal Department of Narcotics with an undercover sting operation.
Brett Detar Scoring William Brent Bell’s ‘Brahms: The Boy 2’
Composer Brett Detar is reuniting with director William Brent Bell on the upcoming horror sequel Brahms: The Boy 2. The film starring Katie Holmes, Christopher Convery, Owain Yeoman and Ralph Ineson centers on a young family that moves into Heelshire Mansion, unaware of its dark history, as the young child bonds with an eerie, life-like doll he calls Brahms. Stacey Menear who scripted the first movie wrote the screenplay. Tom Rosenberg & Gary Lucchesi (Underworld, The Lincoln Lawyer) and Eric Reid (Peppermint) are producing the project for Lakeshore Entertainment, alongside Matt Berenson (Daddy Day Care), Jim Wedaa (Unstoppable) and Roy Lee (It, The Lego Movie).

Composer Mark Korven (The Witch, Our House, Awakening the Zodiac) is reuniting with director Vincenzo Natali on the upcoming Netflix original movie In the Tall Grass. The film is based on Stephen King & Joe Hill’s novella of the same title and stars Patrick Wilson, Laysla De Oliveira, Avery Whitted, Harrison Gilbertson, Rachel Wilson and Will Buie Jr. The psychological thriller centers on a sister and brother who – after hearing a young boy’s cry for help – venture into a vast field of tall grass in Kansas but soon discover there may be no way out.
