The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Evan Spiliotopoulos (Beauty and the Beast, Hercules) and stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Katie Aselton, William Sadler, Diogo Morgado, Cricket Brown, Marina Mazepa, Christine Adams, Bates Wilde and Cary Elwes. The movie is based on James Herbert’s best-selling novel Shrine and centers on a disgraced journalist who discovers a series of divine miracles in a small New England town that has been touched by the apparition of the Virgin Mary and uses them to resurrect his career.

Jazz musician Avishai Cohen is composing the original music for the upcoming historical drama Tel-Aviv/Beirut. The film is directed by Michale Boganim (Land of Oblivion, Odessa…Odessa!) and stars Zalfa Seurat, Sarah Adler, Shlomi Elkabetz, Younès Bouab, Sofia Essaïdi and Maayane Boganim. The movie is set against the backdrop of the Israeli–Lebanese conflict in 1982 and 2006 and tells the story of two families on each side of the border whose fate intertwined because of the war raging in Lebanon.
Clément Ducol Scoring Jacques Audiard’s ‘Paris, 13th District’ (‘Les Olympiades’)
Clément Ducol (Little Tickles, Maestro, I Wish Someone Were Waiting for Me Somewhere) is scoring the upcoming French drama Paris, 13th District (Les Olympiades). The film is directed by Jacques Audiard (A Prophet, The Sisters Brothers, Rust and Bone) and stars Lucie Zhang, Makita Samba, Jehnny Beth and Noémie Merlan. The movie is based on cartoonist Adrian Tomine’s collection of graphic short stories Killing and Dying and revolves around four young adults who are friends, sometimes lovers, and often both. Audiard co-wrote the screenplay with Léa Mysius (Ismael’s Ghosts, Ava) and Celine Sciamma (Portrait of a Young Lady on Fire).

Composer Max Aruj (Crawl, iBoy, Warning Shot) is reteaming with director Eytan Rockaway on the upcoming biographical crime drama Lansky. The film is written and directed by Rockaway and stars Harvey Keitel, Sam Worthington, AnnaSophia Robb, Jackie Cruz, Minka Kelly, John Magaro, David Cade, David James Elliot and Alon Aboutboul. The movie centers on infamous gangster Meyer Lansky, a contemporary of Bugsy Siegel, who enlists a young journalist to tell his story and is being investigated by the Feds who suspect he has stashed away millions of dollars over half a century.

The movie revolves around a young woman who accepts a job on a property with a traumatic past and soon realizes that the nightmares of her childhood are connected to the evil in the house.
Alex Geringas to Compose Score & Songs for Holger Tappe’s & Volker Engel’s ‘Igraine the Brave’
Alex Geringas (Woody Woodpecker, TrollsTopia, Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, Impractical Jokers) is set to compose the original score and write original songs for the upcoming animated fantasy adventure Igraine the Brave. The film directed by Holger Tappe (Animals United, Monster Family) & Volker Engel is based on the novel by Cornelia Funke (Inkheart, The Thief Lord) and follows a young girl who comes from a family of magicians who wants to be a knight than a wielder of magic. When her parents give her a suit of armor on her 12th birthday, she soon gets the chance to demonstrate her bravery.
Tom Holkenborg (Junkie XL) to Score George Miller’s ‘Furiosa’ and Netflix’s ‘Army of the Dead’ Prequel & Anime Series
Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) confirmed during a recent appearance on the Film Junkee Vodka Stream that he is attached to score George Miller’s upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa. The film will star Anya Taylor-Joy in the title role, alongside Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Miller (The Witches of Eastwick, Happy Feet, Baby: Pig in the City) is co-writing the screenplay with Nick Lathouris and is also producing the project with Doug Mitchell (Babe, Dead Calm). Holkenborg (Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel, Black Mass, Divergent) has previously scored 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road and is also collaborating with Miller on the upcoming Three Thousand Years of Longing.
Danny Elfman to Score Scott Beck’s & Bryan Woods’ ’65’
Danny Elfman has revealed in a recent interview with Inverse that he is scoring the upcoming sci-fi thriller 65. The film is written and directed by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods (Haunt, screenwriters of A Quiet Place) and stars Adam Driver, Ariana Greenblatt and Chloe Coleman. No plot details have been announced yet. Beck and Woods are also producing the project with regular Elfman collaborator Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Army of Darkness, Oz: The Great and Powerful, A Simple Plan), as well as Zainab Azizi and Deborah Liebling (PEN15, 50 States of Fright).
