Major Tom Productions will release a soundtrack album for the New Zealand horror comedy DEAD. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom McLeod, Jimmy Urine (frontman of punk band Mindless Self Indulgence) & William Philipson, as well as additional music by Tom Pierard, Chantal Claret, director Hayden J. Weal & Alex Walker. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 10 and will be available to stream/download here. DEAD is co-written and directed by Weal and stars Thomas Sainsbury, the director himself, Jennifer Ward-Lealand, Tōmairangi Ihaia, Jess Sayer and Kayne Ngātakowhā Peters. The movie follows a wannabe super cop who after being murdered enlists the help of a hapless stoner to help him stop a serial killer.

World Premiere Recording of Bernard Herrmann’s ‘Endless Night’ Score Announced
Quartet Records has announced the world premiere recording of the previously unreleased score for the 1972 horror mystery drama Endless Night directed by Sidney Gilliat, based on Agatha Christie’s novel of the same title and starring Hayley Mills, Britt Ekland, Hywel Bennett, Per Oscarsson and George Sanders. Reconstructed from the original manuscript by the film’s composer Bernard Herrmann (Psycho, Vertigo, Taxi Driver, Cape Fear, North by Northwest), the music is performed by the Basque National Orchestra and conducted by Fernando Velázquez (The Impossible, Mama, A Monster Calls), with original Moog synthesizer sessions played by Toni Saigi. Expanded ‘Midnight Cowboy’, ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ & ‘A Bridge Too Far’ Soundtracks Announced
Quartet Records has announced a number of new soundtracks, including a new album for the 1969 drama Midnight Cowboy directed by John Schlesinger and starring Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman. John Barry (Goldfinger, Dances with Wolves, Out of Africa) who is credited as the film’s music supervisor composed a series of original cues and supervised the entire musical concept of the project. Everybody’s Talkin’ written by Fred Neil was selected as a main theme for the movie and was newly recorded with arrangements by George Tipton and performed by Harry Nilsson. The 2-CD set features a remastered version of the original soundtrack album, as well as alternate song versions on the first disc and the complete music (both songs and score) as it appears in the film on the second disc.
‘One Night in Miami…’ Soundtrack Album Details
ABKCO Records will release the official soundtrack album for the drama One Night in Miami… The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Malcolm X, Perry Mason, Inside Man, 25th Hour, Da 5 Bloods).
