Also opening wide is the supernatural horror movie It Lives Inside co-written and directed by Bishal Dutta and starring Megan Suri, Neeru Bajwa, Betty Gabriel, Mohana Krishnan and Vik Sahay. Wesley Hughes (The Stay, ReBroken) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows an Indian-American teen who unleashes an ancient Indian demonic force that kidnaps her estranged friend, premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and is being released by Neon.
Opening in select U.S. theaters this weekend is the Chinese fantasy drama Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms directed by Wu Ershan and starring Huang Bo, Fei Xiang, Xia Yu, Li Xuejian and Chen Kun. The film’s original music is composed by Gordy Haab (Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, Fallen Order & Battlefront). Hangzhou Yuyinniaoniao Culture Media Co. has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past July when the movie opened in China.
