Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for the French Disney+/Hulu limited series Becoming Karl Lagerfeld. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Evgueni Galperine & Sacha Galperine (The Undoing, Loveless, Scenes from a Marriage, Radioactive, Wizard of Lies, The Family, Happening). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composers’ first track (An Emperor Among Us) below. Becoming Karl Lagerfeld is based on the novel Kaiser Karl by Raphaëlle Bacqué and stars Daniel Brühl, Théodore Pellerin, Arnaud Valois, Alex Lutz and Agnès Jaoui. The 6-part biographical drama is set against the backdrop of Parisian nights in the 70s and chonicles the rise of the fashion designer through who – after meeting and falling in love with Jacques de Bascher – finds himself in competition with Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, the head of the most prestigious fashion brand around. The Gaumont and Jour Premier production will premiere next Friday, June 7 internationally on Disney+ and in the U.S. on Hulu.
