Siddhartha Khosla (Only Murders in the Building, ParadiseThis Is Us, Welcome to Chippendales, The Idea of YouRabbit HoleLooking for Alaska) has provided the original score for the new Prime Video documentary special Octopus!. The 2-parter is directed by Niharika Desai (The Principles of Pleasure), narrated by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and centers on one of the most intelligent and mysterious life forms on Earth as it follows the Giant Pacific Octopus from birth to death. The special features an eclectic mix of characters who have their own unique connections to these creatures, from the explorer trying to understand them, the scientist trying to save them to actor/comedian Tracy Morgan who is obsessed with them. Waller-Bridge is also executive producing the project with Jenny Robins (Run) for Wells Street Films, alongside Stacey Offman (The Innocence Files, The Crime of the Century) and Richard Perello (Super Troopers, Beerfest) for Jigsaw Productions, as well as showrunner Melissa Wood (High Score). Octopus! will premiere next Thursday, May 8 exclusively on Prime Video.

As previously reported, Khosla also has Skydance Animation’s feature Pookoo coming up. He also continues to score Hulu’s Paradise & Only Murders in the Building and co-score CBS’ Elsbeth. He also co-scored Apple TV+’s Government Cheese, which premiered last month with new episodes dropping every Wednesday.
