Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British TV series Miss Austen written by Andrea Gibb based on Gill Hornby’s novel and starring Keeley Hawes, Rose Leslie, Patsy Ferran, Phyllis Logan, Synnøve Karlsen, Max Irons, Jessica Hynes, Alfred Enoch, Kevin McNally, Calam Lynch, Mirren Mack and Liv Hill. The show’s original music is composed by Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, The Tourist, The Widow, Primeval, Baptiste, The Serpent, Ripper Street, The Confessions of Frannie Langton, Requiem). Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past February following its debut in the UK on BBC One. Premiering on Thursday, May 8, is the Netflix original series Forever created by Mara Brock Akil based on Judy Blume’s novel of the same name and starring Lovie Simone, Michael Cooper Jr., Karen Pittman, Xosha Roquemore, Wood Harris, Marvin Winans III, Niles Fitch, Ali Gallo, Adriyan Rae, Barry Shabaka Henley, Paigion Walker, E’myri Crutchfield and Xavier Mills. Gary Gunn (A Thousand and One, Quad Gods, Maggie Black, David Makes Man, Master of Light) has composed the show’s original music. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Friday. Also premiering on Thursday is the Prime Video documentary special Octopus! directed by Niharika Desai, narrated by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and executive produced by Waller-Bridge, Jenny Robins, Stacey Offman, Richard Perello and Melissa Wood.
