Marco Beltrami (Logan3:10 to YumaA Quiet PlaceFord v. FerrariThe Hurt LockerThe Wolverine, Hellboy) is returning to score the upcoming slasher sequel Scream 7. The film is directed by Kevin Williamson (who wrote the screenplays for the first two and fourth installments) and stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Scott Foley, Isabel May, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Mckenna Grace, Anna Camp, Ethan Embry, Sam Rechner, Joel McHale, Michelle Randolph, Mark Consuelos and Jimmy Tatro. No plot details have announced yet. Guy Busick (Ready or Not, Abigail) wrote the screenplay. Project X Entertainment’s James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, The House with a Clock in Its Walls), William Sherak (Suspiria) and Paul Neinstein (The Night Agent) are producing the project. Beltrami has previously scored the first four Scream movies directed by Wes Craven. The composer has confirmed his involvement in the seventh installment on Instagram. Scream 7 is scheduled to be released on February 27, 2026 by Paramount Pictures.

Beltrami’s recent projects also include Nyle DiMarco’s & Davis Guggenheim’s Deaf President Now! (co-scored with Buck Sanders), which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will debut on May 16 on Apple TV+, as well as  the second season of Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers (co-scored with Miles Hankins), which will premiere on May 21.
