Benjamin Wallfisch has recently scored the upcoming caper thriller King of Thieves. The film is directed by James Marsh (The Theory of Everything, Man on Wire) and stars Michael Caine, Tom Courtenay, Ray Winstone, Jim Broadbent, Charlie Cox, Paul Whitehouse, Michael Gambon and Francesca Annis. The movie is based on Mark Seal’s Vanity Fair piece The Over the Hill Mob and tells the story of the April 2015 Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Company heist in which robbers stole more than £200 million worth of loot in the biggest heist in UK history. Joe Penhall (Mindhunter, The Road) wrote the screenplay. Tim Bevan & Eric Fellner (Atonement, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Darkest Hour), Michelle Wright (7 Days in Entebbe), Ali Jaafar and Amelia Granger are producing the Working Title Films production. King of Thieves will be released in the UK on September 14, 2018. No word yet on a domestic release.

Wallfisch also has the noir thriller Serenity starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway & Jason Clarke, the film adaptation of The Darkest Minds starring Amandla Stenberg, Harris Dickinson & Mandy Moore and the thriller Keepers starring Gerard Butler coming up.
