Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack EP for the new Disney+ animated short Dug Days: Carl’s Date. The album features the original music from the Pixar Animation Studios production composed by Andrea Datzman (Alcatraz, Undercovers) who previously co-scored the 2021 Dug Days shorts series with Curtis Green. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 10 and will be available to stream/download here. Dug Days: Carl’s Date is written and directed by Bob Peterson and follows Carl Fredricksen as he reluctantly agrees to go on a date with a lady friend, when Dug steps in to calm his pre-date jitters.

‘Cars on the Road’ Soundtrack Album Details
Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the Disney+ animated series Cars on the Road. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Jake Monaco (Dumplin’, Flora & Ulysses, Let’s Be Cops, Forky Asks a Question, Jerry & Marge Go Large, Lamp Life, Out). Also included is the main title song written by Monaco & Bobby Podesta and performed by Bobby Hamrick (check out the main title sequence after the jump), as well as two other songs performed by the series’ voice cast. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 5 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Cars on the Road is directed by Steve Purcell, Podesta & Brian Fee, produced by Marc Sondheimer and stars Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy. The Pixar Animation Studios production follows Lightning McQueen and his best friend Mater as they head east from Radiator Springs on a cross-country road trip to meet up with Mater’s sister.

The show is based on Pixar Animation Studios’ feature franchise and follows Lightning McQueen and his best friend Mater as they head east from Radiator Springs on a cross-country road trip to meet up with Mater’s sister. The full details of the soundtrack album for Pixar Animation Studios’ feature Lightyear have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, The Incredibles, Star Trek, Ratatouille, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Inside Out, The Batman, Jurassic World). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, June 17 by Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A first track (Mission Perpetual) is already available now. Lightyear is directed by Angus MacLane and stars Chris Evans, Uzo Aduba, Keke Palmer, James Brolin, Peter Sohn, Mary McDonald-Lewis, Dale Soules, Efren Ramirez, Keira Hairston, Taika Waititi and Isiah Whitlock Jr.

Also included are the film’s original songs written by Grammy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated songwriters Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell and performed by the fictional boy band 4*Town (Jordan Fisher, Finneas, Topher Ngo Grayson Villanueva & Josh Levi). Michael Giacchino Scoring Pixar’s ‘Lightyear’
Michael Giacchino (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Lost, Jurassic World, Star Trek, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Doctor Strange, War for the Planet of the Apes) has recently been scoring Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Lightyear. The film is directed by Angus MacLane and stars Chris Evans in the title role. The sci-fi action adventure tells the origin story of Buzz Lightyear – the hero who inspired the toy – introducing the legendary Space Ranger who would win generations of fans. Galyn Susman (Toy Story 4) is producing the project.
Pixar’s ‘Turning Red’ to Feature Original Songs by Billie Eilish & FINNEAS
Disney announced today that Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriters Billie Eilish and FINNEAS have written three original songs for Pixar’s next animated feature Turning Red. The tracks were written for the fictional boy band 4*Town in the movie. A first song (Nobody Like U) is featured in the film’s latest trailer, which just premiered today and can be checked out after the jump. As previously reported, Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, The Mandalorian, Tenet) has composed the original score for the movie, which is directed by Domee Shee and stars Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh, Orion Lee, Wai Ching Ho, Ava Morse, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Hyein Park, Tristan Allerick Chen, Addie Chandler, Jordan Fisher, Grayson Villanueva, Josh Levi, Topher Ngo and Finneas O’Connell.

The 6-track EP features the film’s original score composed and produced by Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Maniac, Superman & Lois, The Good Doctor, Beasts of No Nation, Atypical) who previously composed the music for the Pixar’s feature Luca. Ciao Alberto is directed by McKenna Harris, produced by Matt DeMartini and stars Jack Dylan Grazer, Marco Barricelli and Jacob Tremblay who reprise their characters from Luca.
Dan Romer Scoring Pixar’s ‘Ciao Alberto’
Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Superman & Lois, Maniac, Beasts of No Nation, The Good Doctor) has recently scored Pixar Animation Studios’ short Ciao Alberto. The film is directed by McKenna Harris and features the voices of Jack Dylan Grazer, Marco Barricelli and Jacob Tremblay who reprise their roles from Pixar’s feature Luca. The short follows Alberto as he is enjoying his new life in Portorosso working alongside Massimo, the imposing, tattooed, one-armed fisherman of few words. Matt DeMartini is producing the project and Enrico Casarosa & Kiri Hart serve as executive producers.
