Hans Zimmer has been brought in to score the 25th James Bond film, No Time to Die. It has not been confirmed yet whether he will be taking sole composer credit or if he will be sharing scoring credit with one of his regular collaborators. Dan Romer was originally announced as the movie’s composer. No Time to Die is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Billy Magnussen, Ana de Armas and Ralph Fiennes.

Radiohead’s Rejected ‘Spectre’ Title Song Posted
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has published an unused title song for the latest James Bond film, Spectre. The singer/songwriter announced on Twitter today: “Last year we were asked to write a tune for Bond movie Spectre. Yes we were…it didn’t work out…but became something of our own which we love very much…As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it. Merry Christmas. May the force be with you.” The track is available to stream after the jump. Sam Smith performed the song Writing’s On the Wall, which was ultimately chosen as the title track for Spectre.
‘Spectre’ Soundtrack Details
The full details of the soundtrack album for the 24th James Bond movie Spectre have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Thomas Newman (American Beauty, The Shawshank Redemption, Finding Nemo, Wall-E) who previously scored Skyfall. Also included is an instrumental version of the movie’s title song Writing’s on the Wall. The soundtrack will be released overseas on October 23, 2015 and in the U.S. on November 6. Decca Records to Release ‘Spectre’ Soundtrack
Decca Records will release the official soundtrack album for the 24th James Bond movie, Spectre. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Thomas Newman (American Beauty, Finding Nemo, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Wall-E) who previously scored the last installment in the series, Skyfall. The soundtrack will be released physically on November 13, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A digital version is expected to come out a week or two earlier. Broccoli’s EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced today that Sam Smith has recorded Writing’s On The Wall, the theme song to the 24th James Bond film Spectre. The singer/songwriter has co-written the song with Jimmy Napes. The track will be released to download and stream on September 25, 2015 by Capitol Records. It is the first James Bond theme song recorded by a British male solo artist since 1965. Decca Records will release the official soundtrack album for Spectre, which will feature the movie’s original score composed by Thomas Newman.
Thomas Newman to Score 24th James Bond Film ‘Spectre’
Albert R. Broccoli’s EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced today that Thomas Newman will return to score the 24th film in the James Bond series, Spectre. The composer will reteam with director Sam Mendes who previously helmed 2012’s Skyfall. They also collaborated on the features American Beauty, The Road to Perdition, Revolutionary Road and Jarhead. Spectre stars Daniel Craig in the title role, alongside Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny and Ralph Fiennes as M. Rory Kinnear, Andrew Scott, David Bautista, Monica Bellucci, Léa Seydoux and Christoph Waltz are co-starring. The movie follows Bond as he uncovers a sinister organization after he receives a cryptic message from his past.
‘Skyfall’ Recording Sessions
Sony Pictures Belgium has published a short video from the recording sessions of the score for the latest James Bond film Skyfall. The video features footage of the film’s composer Thomas Newman conducting the orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London, as well as the composer talking about his first score for the Bond series. The Music of Bond: The First 50 Years
Last Friday, the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences celebrated the music of the James Bond series at the event The Music of Bond: The First 50 Years at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. The Academy has published a couple of video clips from the event, including guitarist Vic Flick’s live performance of the James Bond theme on the same Clifford Essex Paragon Deluxe he used 50 years ago, as well as an excerpt from the interview with Flick talking about working with composer John Barry on Bond films including Dr. No and Goldfinger. Both videos can be checked out after the jump. Also embedded is a video clip from the interview with Oscar-winning lyricist Don Black talking about his work with Barry and a story about the theme song for Diamonds Are Forever, as well as an excerpt from the talk with composer Bill Conti on writing the Oscar-nominated title song to For Your Eyes Only.
