George Kallis (Cliffs of Freedom, After We Fell, The Black Prince, The Last Warrior, 93 Days) has been tapped to score the upcoming romantic drama First Love. The film is written and directed by A.J. Edwards (The Better Angels, Age Out) and stars Diane Kruger, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Jeffrey Donovan and Sydney Park. The movie revolves around a senior in high school who experiences the highs and lows of his first love, while his parents are dealing with the familial fallout spurred by the financial crisis of 2008.

The only movie opening nationwide this week is the supernatural horror thriller Candyman co-written and directed by Nia DaCosta and starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Colman Domingo, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Vanessa Williams and Tony Todd. The film’s original music is composed by Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe. Waxwork Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score in various formats today. Opening semi-wide in around 250 theaters is the British comedy drama Together directed by Stephen Daldry and starring James McAvoy and Sharon Horgan. Paul Englishby (An Education, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Sunshine on Leith, Luther, The Musketeers) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie centers on two partners who are forced to re-evaluate themselves and their relationship through the reality of lockdown. The dramedy premiered in the UK this past June on BBC Two and is being released theatrically in the U.S. by Bleecker Street.

Cinematic Soundscapes has released the original song After Our Dawn from After We Fell, the third part in the After series. The track is performed by Taylor Conrod and written by the film’s composer George Kallis (The Last Warrior, Highlander: The Source, Cliffs of Freedom), director Castille Landon, Ryan Steffes, Conrod herself, George Solonos and Nicolas Farmakalidis. The song, which is based the the main musical theme from Kallis’ score from the movie, is now available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music. Also listen to the full track below. American Sausage Standoff is written and directed by Ulrich Thomsen and stars Antony Starr, Ewen Bremner, W. Earl Brown and Joshua Harto. The movie is set in a small American town and tells the story of two hopeless dreamers who join forces to launch the ultimate German sausage restaurant.

Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the Russian fantasy epic The Last Warrior: Root of Evil. The album features the film’s original music composed by George Kallis (Cliffs of Freedom, The Black Prince, Albion: The Enchanted Stallion, 93 Days) who has previously scored 2017’s original The Last Warrior movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 29 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other digital music store). The Last Warrior: Root of Evil is directed by Dmitry Dyachenko and stars Victor Khorinyak, Elena Yakovleva, Mila Sivatskaya, Konstantin Lavronenko, Ekaterina Vilkova and Sergey Burunov. The movie follows Ivan, a young man living in the present day who travels through a magical portal to the ancient world of Belogorie, where dragons, magic and fairytale creatures abound.

George Kallis (Cliffs of Freedom, The Black Prince, Albion: The Enchanted Stallion, 93 Days) has signed on to score the two sequels to Disney’s Russian fantasy adventure The Last Warrior (Posledni Bogatyr). The first sequel, The Last Warrior: The Root of Evil, is directed by Dmitry Dyachenko and stars Victor Khorinyak, Elena Yakovleva, Ekaterina Vilkova, Konstantin Lavronenko and Evgeny Dyatlov. The project is produced by Disney CIS, Yellow Black and White. Kallis has previously composed the music for the 2017 original film and his score is available on Walt Disney Records.
‘Lev Yashin: The Dream Goalkeeper’ Soundtrack Released

Lev Yashin: The Dream Goalkeeper is directed by Vasiliy Chiginskiy and stars Aleksandr Fokin, Yuliya Khlynina, Aleksey Kravchenko, Yevgeny Dyatlov and Vitaliy Khaev. The movie is set in the historical period of the 50s and 60s of the USSR and tells the story of the titular legendary Soviet-Russian goalkeeper.

Aegean Entertainment has released a soundtrack album for the historical drama Cliffs of Freedom. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by George Kallis (The Black Prince, Albion: The Enchanted Stallion, 93 Days). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A CD version is also in the works. Cliffs of Freedom is directed by Van Ling and stars Tania Raymonde, Patti LuPone, Kevin Corrigan, Jan Uddin, Billy Zane, Raza Jeffrey and Christopher Plummer. The movie tells the story of an ill-fated romance between a Greek village girl and a conflicted Turkish officer during the dawn of the Greek War for Independence against the Ottoman Empire in 1821.
