Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1985 supernatural horror cult classic Fright Night written and directed by Tom Holland and starring Chris Sarandon, William Ragsdale, Amanda Bearse, Roddy McDowall and Stephen Geoffreys. The album features the film’s newly remastered original score composed by Brad Fiedel (The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, True Lies, The Accused, The Real McCoy, Blink, The Serpent and the Rainbow), including 17 minutes of unreleased music. The CD, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 40th anniversary, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list. The label has previously released the premiere score album for the title back in 2011.

Brad Fiedel’s ‘Fright Night’ Score Released
Intrada Records has announced the world premiere release of the the score for the 1985 horror classic Fright Night. Four new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Opening in almost 3000 theaters is the horror comedy Fright Night directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Christopher Mintz-Please, David Tennant and Toni Collette. The film’s music is composed by Ramin Djawadi. A soundtrack CD will be released on August 30, 2011 by Varese Sarabande. Ramin Djawadi to score ‘Fright Night’
Ramin Djawadi has been hired to score the upcoming horror film Fright Night. The film is remake of the comedy-horror picture about a teenager who discovers his new next-door neighbor is a vampire. The movie is directed by Craig Gillespie, who has previously worked with composers David Torn on Lars and the Real Girl and Theodore Shapiro on Mr. Woodcock. Fright Night stars Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Christopher Mintz-Please, David Tennant and Toni Collette. Tom Holland’s original 1985 film featured a score by Brad Fiedel. Djawadi himself is no stranger to horror films, having previously scored 2009’s The Unborn. Fright Night is produced by Dreamworks Pictures and will be released by Walt Disney Pictures on August 19, 2011.
